Questions & Answers

Are there any plans to use this in the Blue Ridge Mountains far from civilization? What if I am traveling deep in the middle of nowhere and can't get internet access?

The satellite used by Starlink is not a cell tower. Before you purchase, here are two things to keep in mind. This is 1. If there is an overcast of clouds or storms, this may not work. The second paragraph. There are countries in the world that have banned satellite phones for their own security reasons. It is not clear what the rules are for satellite Wifi. Depending on which country you are in, you may wish to check with support.

It will allow me to gain access to my home's security system via WiFi as soon as this device is turned on. Is it possible to leave it plugged in & have it function Is it necessary to attend to it onsite?

The way I used it for about 2 months was like that. There is no need to have it attended to onsite, although I gave it a lot of attention. It's easy to use. It does everything you need it to do.

Do you think this would work with a mobile home for traveling? What is it like to live off ?

We took our phone to Coeur d'Alene, where we don't have reception, and it worked well. As well as being easy to use, it was also fast.

How much does this cost in Costa Rica, Dr.! How much does it cost in PA?

It is possible to switch between cloud data and sim data on the device, so I'm sure you could make it work one way or another. This has been the most lifesaving device for me living in the woods in Texas!

It's dumb (I was) if you have problems
5/5

There is nothing better than this. It is a relatively common device in businesses and travel, but I have been using it to access the internet as my main connection. Even though the initial setup created some confusion on my end, the web connection was more reliable than my Comcast "blaster"-speed internet over an Ethernet wire. This software doesn't require a SIM card, but it is an optional feature but not a requirement.

The card is one of only one in the phone, so it is hard Since I have had it for about a month now, I haven't been able to fix it
4/5

Despite this, I have not been able to try it out while traveling, so this review is based solely on my experience in downtown San Diego (i. e. The signal is wonderful on my cell phone). I am happy to report the following Using the Virtual modem, I can get Glocalme's North American and International data plans to work. The 4G service at Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint was also quite fast A look at AT&T and Mobile There are T nano SIM cards. There's bad news to tell This is 1. Two SIM cards cannot be used at the same time. In no way can a second SIM slot be inserted in the device. Contacted Glocalme support, they clarified only ONE SIM card can be put in. They went back to me after I sent them what Amazon said about the two SIM card slots, and Glocalme said that was erroneous (apparently Amazon has now removed that from the While I can still see and use the device easily, I cannot remove or replace SIM cards.
2. There are three major carriers T, Verizon, and T-Mobile A mobile network with a speed of over 1. 2. 3. It was necessary to contact Glocalme support to get the free 8GB of NA data, which only lasts 90 days are the duration of 1GB of international data). Ibid. , p. 4. Despite immediately connecting to both T-Mobile 4G and Verizon 4G, the device did not automatically boot up Connect to AT&T's mobile 4G network I did not like 4G at all. There are reports that AT&T is going out of business The device is not listed in the system at T. After 10 hours of talking to AT&T, we came to an agreement. AT&T has made countless unfulfilled promises that the device will be added to AT&T's network In addition, I had the benefit of a supervisor at Advanced Technical Support who added my device with the IMEI number from a tablet, before I switched to 4G AT&T AT&T service. Maybe at some point in the future, AT&T will provide this service They are going to implement this device on The answer may not be. This is 5. As far as I can tell, you cannot add any software to the device. There are some very limited software features built in to the device (currency conversion and translator) that I cannot utilise. The device is still in my possession but I am unsure whether to keep it or return it. This device has two SIM card slots, which is the primary reason I bought it, but I can physically switch them out if I want. A universal hotspot capable of working with Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint has been unable to be found to date A look at AT&T and Mobile Also, the virtual modem is a useful feature that I might take advantage of when visiting another country during a short stay so that I do not.

This wireless hotspot is perfect for traveling! Travelers who wish to visit foreign countries will find this a top choice
5/5

This is a device that I have been using in Asia and Australia since I acquired it last month, and the SIM cards are great In Taiwan, for example, I can get up to 5 days of 4G service with unlimited data for only about $10 US, and in Australia for less than $7 US. The download and upload speeds are 30 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up, which is a huge improvement over the 2G/3G speeds I get through T-Mobile We offer international mobile service at a reduced price compared to our The SIM card can be inserted into the SIM tray and then the phone can be used. The battery life is good, the interface is straightforward and you can easily fit the device in a pocket of your clothing or a backpack.

My doubts were unfounded, as this proved to be true
5/5

There has been a new update! A new update has been published. My employer will still allow us to work remotely as a result of the pandemic. The internet went out the other day. My cable and electric were fine. I fired up my G4 and everything worked fine. The Zoom didn't work here (there are only 3 bars of signal where I live), but I could use the internet and email my friends with no problems. While streaming radio was on, I also played some songs. PSPS events should be able to be handled by this device. The July 21, 2020 update. In our last review, we found the following It is a backup Hotspot I purchased to use at home during PSPS and when I travel. In the coverage map on the website, the US is mentioned, but there are no detailed zip code listings. As a rural resident, I had doubts that it could work. There have been no problems in both remote areas where I have used it. In contrast to a true hard power off, there is no default setting. In about 10 days it drained by 5% of its power. I unplugged it and left it for about 10 days. Please take note The picture was taken when the phone wasn't in Make sure you have a plan to charge your phone at set times so you won't run out of power. We do not use it as a means to download or watch movies, but I have read concerns or questions about it slowing down over a certain period of time. If we were to use it for downloading or watching movies, it might experience a drop in speed.

A SLOW COMPLETION The speed is horribly slow
3/5

As far as downloading is concerned, I've seen a best speed of A new record of 59Mbps has been broken A resounding yes 0- In decimal format I cannot imagine what it must be like to have five-nine. No uploads have been made in the past 24 hours. There are 63Mbps! When I test this card in an old iPad, I get 56Mbps. I am using a Verizon SIM card. That's nearly a 100x increase in speed. In what way? It is useless as a SIM Card WiFi device. This incredibly slow speed is not worth the small size of the device. When I travel, it makes sense to use my old iPad as a hotspot, despite the difficulty of using it abroad and the short battery life. It's more important to have fast internet. It would probably embarrass GlobalMe to market such a useless device, and it would stop marketing it permanently.

For overseas travel, this is an excellent product
4/5

We recently received a Glocalme 4G Pro from Amazon Prime. We contacted the seller with the IMEI #2 for activation in the United States. It took only a few minutes for the activation process to be completed. I was very satisfied with the service for As soon as I logged in, I was able to access 1GB international service. Since the 4G Pro was updated with the latest software and firmware, it was unnecessary to install an A unit of the T-42 was locked on to it The iPhone was connected to the WiFi of the unit using a mobile 4G service. The download speed is excellent. Make sure you purchase a Middle East data plan if you plan on using your phone overseas in the Middle East. Some of the others with whom I work have had excellent experiences with the 4G unit in the Middle East.
Installed a OneSim Card SIM card into the unit and have switched back and forth between the SIM card and the 4G virtual SIM card. A very impressive product all in all.
