Questions & Answers

Is this compatible with the 3420 Latitude?

If your 3520 is powered through a USBC port, it may be an overkill for overwattage, but if you plan on using multiple 4k displays, it will suffice.

Is this compatible with any Windows 10 PC that isn't a tablet? Dell's brand name)?

With my HP laptop, I use one of these. Everything works (monitors, external drives, and so on), but the laptop requires its own power source.

Is displaylink or any other driver that isn't included with Windows required for the WD19? is it ?

The 3100 series is the only one that uses a display link. No displaylink add-ons are required for the WD19.

Dell laptops that require 180 watts will not be supported
4/5

A Dell laptop that requires 180 watts of power will not be powered with this. br>br>After three calls to Dell, I discovered that they (and no one else) make a docking station that will power my G7 with one thunderbolt type C port; if you have two type C ports, you're in business. I don't think so, and according to what I've read, thunderbolt type C ports don't support more than 100/130 watts of power. So, if your laptop needs 180 watts but only has one thunderbolt type C port (like mine), you'll need a second power supply plugged directly into the laptop. br>br>I gave it four stars because the dock itself is excellent and does exactly what it claims. I just wish Dell hadn't forgotten about some of us who own G7s.

The model that was delivered was not the one that was identified
3/5

Dell has released a new version of their WD-based external hard drive. The 3. has been mysteriously removed from the 19 product line. External PC speakers can be connected using a 5mm audio plug. WD- is the name of the first model. He is 19 years old and carries the number three. On the dock, there is a 5mm audio input port. This is the item I thought I was ordering because it was identified and pictured. The device that has been provided is a Dell WD-XXXXXXXXXXXXXX The 19S is the only one without the 3. 5 mm audio jack The only reason I bought this dock here rather than directly from Dell, where it would be linked to my account, was because Amazon was still advertising the WD-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX 19 docks with the number three. Audio jack (5 mm) So be wary if you're looking for a Dell WD-1000. With three, the total is 19. This item is not as pictured or described, and it does not have a 5mm audio output. It is, in fact, the most recent version. WD- 19S. Added a note on November 14th, 21st: The dock was returned because it wouldn't turn on or work. It would turn on for a few seconds, then turn off, with the fan spinning and the power LED blinking a few times before shutting down. Returning items to Amazon and the vendor was a breeze.

It's that simple! I feel like it took me far too long to realize I needed this docking station, but I was able to completely transform my wfh setup in just a few days
5/5

Everything is connected (monitor via HDMI, headphone receiver via USB, wireless keyboard via dongle). This docking station accepts all of your peripherals (keyboard, mouse, etc. ). I simply plug the thunderbolt cable into my laptop, and not only does it keep it charged, but it also allows me to see everything on my monitor. All of my docking station accessories function properly. There's no need to untangle multiple cables to mobilize; it's all done with a single cable. done. The best part is that I can easily switch from one mode to another. Using this TB cable, I was able to connect my work laptop to my personal laptop. I'm intertwined in every way! It's so simple. it's convenient For the record, I'm using a Dell Precision 3530. The Dell Inspiron 15 7000 is a laptop computer with a 15-inch display. "Plug" was used in both instances. When this docking station is connected, you can press "play. " I'm crossing my fingers that this isn't a case of "too good to be true. " that my 5-year-old son I'm giving it a star rating because it's a bit early, but I'll definitely keep you updated if there are any issues.

Users who use two monitors - Verify the compatibility of the resolution and refresh rate
3/5

I've been building computers for more than two decades. The days of something working by itself are long gone. Modern docking stations, to my surprise, are not all the same, and they can be very limited in terms of supporting multiple monitors. To make matters worse, determining what is and is not supported is extremely difficult. While these products claim to support dual monitors, you may only be able to use one or both of them at very low resolutions and refresh rates.

It's simple and effective
5/5

This isn't exactly glamorous. I wanted a docking station for my work laptop so I could connect more monitors and leave it at home once the pandemic was over.

I was looking for the WD19 dock for the 3
3/5

I was looking for the WD19 dock for the 3. Headphone jack is 5mm. The unit that was sent was the WD19S, which did not include the 3. Except for one over-sized port, the entire labeling on the box indicates that this is a WD19S unit. WD19 is written on a label that isn't a Dell label. Beware - These items for sale are not what they appear to be!.

Future-proofing with a Dell WD19TB
5/5

Overall, a great product. My XPS 15 seems to like it. The cables are of good quality, as is the construction. Although, in retrospect, I should have purchased the Dell WD19TB for futureproofing because 40Gbps is far superior to the 10Gbps that this unit provides.

Although it works well with a Dell laptop and a Mac mini, the cost is prohibitive
4/5

This is compatible with both a Dell laptop and a Mac mini when plugged into the USB port. C connects the two devices. On the Mac, you only get one screen, not dual screens like the Dell; if you want dual screens on the Mac, you'll need a different version of this. It was a good compromise for me; the price appears to be quite high, but I chose it because it matches my work dock.
