Choosing a Dual Monitor over a Triple Monitor The USB port I bought this product for my work laptop (Dell 5285), my regular ASUS laptop, and for my gaming laptop from MSI
4/5

After you install all the required drivers you'll be able to use the product seamlessly. There is one exception, the I get it. My mouth is dry and I don't want to babble anymore. As a summary, here are the points The first paragraph. I was able to install it without any problems on my work laptop Dell 5285. With USB-based connectivity, it's ready to use right out of the box 3 monitors can be used with a C connection. Observation 2. (1 year old) ASUS X551MA. I had to install the drivers (displaylink driver) using USB to get it to work 3 monitors can be used with a C connection. The manual is available online. 1. 2. 3. A story from the future (MSI at 2 In the case of the third monitor, I had no luck with USB integration- There is a connection over C. Trying to figure it out took me 3 hours. I researched painstakingly and discovered that there are two kinds of USBs A USB-C adapter with alternative modes and DisplayPort DisplayPort is not supported by Model C). Be sure you have USB connections for 3 monitors if you are planning on using 3 monitors You can use Alt Mode of the DisplayPort on your laptop by pressing ALT+C. Please note You can use this device to connect two monitors and this device only supports USB-connected monitors The third item is A3. This is 3/1. If you are not using USB-based devices, you will need only one driver The C port can be used with a DisplayPort adapter.

It's not Dell's fault that customer service is lacking
3/5

I ordered this product for it's brand-new computers. A strange problem was happening with my computer. It would randomly jumble the letters in my keyboard and my bluetooth went completely dark (not just turned off, but off as well). It was not a problem that my IT & Dell teams could solve. There was a lot of resetting of A few days ago, it stopped having problems (yay!). On the other hand, in July I walked back into the office to work and BAM everything had changed? Things are cooking along now that everything has been reset. If you go back to work in August, you'll notice it It then dawns on me. A DOCKING STATION is where the ships dock. Easy enough, I suppose. Due to some reason, the docking station I'm using does not have an identification tag, so I spent an entire afternoon being transferred between departments at Dell. There is nothing they can do without it. As I removed, I must have done so. I didn't do that. I finally got some help after being hung up on for a good two hours and then transferred a couple times. We talk for an additional hour, and he has me send what I have on my Amazon invoice and what I have on You don't have to worry, they'll extract it. I received an email telling me that my case had been closed and that I should call again in order for them to restart it. I can't be routed to the right place again if they can't route me to the right place. I have been told it would be closed and then told some new person to call me to start a new case after 30 days of it being promised would be handled. As I do not have time to spend the next half a day on hold, having them transfer me around, and then getting hung up on, I asked for them to start a case based on my history of emails. Further, I have already told them that at this point, I want a paper trail for the reason that I have been lied to over Because I work (therefore I need a docking station) I cannot spend two days doing thing I want We are waiting for 3 to be released. My customer service experience with this company was terrible. Again, I realize that I probably got the one lemon out of 1000, but I honestly can't recall a worse customer service experience. I gave this one star because the docking station is worthless and inflicts electrical problems with the computer.

The dock is a good size and works well
5/5

After struggling with other docks that weren't Dell-compatible, this dock was very good This was the one I chose, since the other two weren't compatible or didn't offer powerful performance. It is smaller than I would have expected for Dell (especially when compared to the WD19-based laptop my company would like me to purchase). I was happily surprised by the compatibility of both my work Dell and home Acer, supporting all peripherals, dual screens, and the power delivery technology. Additionally, I appreciate that this comes with a USB port I leave the C port unplugged, so I don't "lose" it by connecting the dock. Because all of the USB ports on the PCs are the same, I'd have one quibble There are three ports on an A port. I have experienced minor issues with a wireless mouse (lag, jumping) from time to time, which does not occur with a USB version I appreciate this dock regardless of the x port. That, however, is minor, and it does not really detract from its overall qualities.

This is a docking station
3/5

For my laptop to connect to two large monitors when I telework, I need two large monitors. In order to hook up my laptop to the monitor, I need a dock station. I had a 17" monitor and bought another one. One of the IT specialists at work recommended this docking station because it was fine for me, and I recommend it to you if you happen to be in a similar.

I like it a lot
5/5

It can be a little challenging to use tech items at home while there is a pandemic. Initially, it worked well to connect the surface to the second screen, but then it went out, and guess what, now it works beautifully on During the process of replacing my laptop, I needed to connect my iPad Pro and was super happy to find that it could also do that. I appreciate the extra ports for things I need to do during IT DOES NOT POWER YOUR COMPUTER, just connects to all the monitors and things to make it easy for you to work on them.

This is the first dock that actually I tried three different docks and they did not work on my Dell laptop The first
5/5

I did not have to install any drivers for this one since it worked perfectly. A 31" 4K monitor and a 27" 4K monitor were connected to my system. A HDMI & DVI version is also available It has Display Port, so it's super easy to use.

Most laptops are incompatible with this product
3/5

The seller is probably not to blame for malfunctioning DP cables, but it will almost certainly cause flickering issues if you try to run two 60Hz monitors using them. It seems to be a Dell issue, so make sure you buy the dock recommended by Dell. During an hour-long discussion with my company's tech support, we determined that using only one DP cable and one HDMI cable would be the only option.

Work from home with ease with this product
5/5

Since this is what my company uses in their offices, I was looking for a way to work at home more easily. The extra three USB ports are nice for multimonitor use and it lets you connect two more monitors.
