Questions & Answers

How long?

You cannot put a time limit on anything. There is typically a maximum number of write-throughs for solid state disks, measured in TBW (terrabyte written), which range between 65 and 150. According to SanDisk, there are 65 to 80 million mobile devices worldwide TBW stands for Terabytes Written. Depending on the device, this amount can be up to 80 TBW. As well as "endurance", this can also be known as "strength". The TBW metric is a measurement used by hardware manufacturers to state how many terabytes can be written to a solid state disk (SSD) during the drive's life. It effectively measures how long an SSD will last before needing to be replaced. *br>For example, if your drive has a capacity of 100 GB's, and the drive is rated at 100 TBW, this means that your drive can be Gigabytes are divided into terabytes (1 terabyte is There is no end to reading, but there is a limit to writing. This can be solved by Whenever your SSD reaches the capacity metric for your TBW, they will need to be replaced. You can put the old drive in a read-only archive just like I used to do that for databases Those files that are static should be put on SSD's for fast access, and those that are dynamic should be on TBW rates are constantly improving and may be infinite one day, but we are still a long way from

Taking a look at photos from other users, the dimensions appear to be incorrect (2. The size of the piece is 34 inches by 2 inches. This is 24 inches wide by 1 inch high. I am 68 inches tall). It seems as though it is Can you tell me what 68" stands for?

The answer is no. There is an error in the dimensions. They should be The dimensions of the print are 345mm The dimensions of this wall are 254" by There is no way anyone can come up with the figure of 45" (based on the measurements I took with my calipers). There are 68 inches between the ceiling and the floor. There's nothing like it in my experience since it's small, fast, and can work with any device.

Is it possible to connect a thunderbolt 3 USB-C cable to the thunderbolt 3 Is the port fast enough to handle the 1050 MB/s read rate?

Definitely, but I think it's a USB 3.0 drive, not a thunderbolt drive. There is a Gen 2 version with up to 10 Gigabits of speed. With Thunderbolt 3, you can transfer data at 40 gigabits Regardless of the type of computer it is connected to, you will be able to experience the max amount of speed this drive has to offer, although it seems to have slightly faster write speeds than read speeds, and it does not reach the advertised 1050 speed, but more like 800 to 900.

What if I only have smaller files to transfer?

In fact, yes. If you think about the drive's total capacity as 500GB (although the operation system will only use a fraction of that size). Like any other hard drive, it is simple to use. The only real difference is that it has no moving parts, and the transfer speed is incredibly fast!

Sandisk Extreme should NOT be confused with Sandisk Ultra
5/5

A mistake has been made in Amazon There are mixed reviews for the Extreme Pro and Almost twice as fast as the Extreme, the Extreme Pro is faster than the It has only been a few months since the Extreme Pro was released, so reviews for 2018 are based on its predecessor. Since the Extreme Pro is larger than the regular Extreme, it will not fit in the cases listed under "Customers also bought. ". The difference between them is easily recognizable. In contrast, the Extreme Pro has an orange metallic band around the perimeter while the Extreme is an all-black device. MacBook Pro USB Extreme Pro (using C port) is wicked fast. Ideal for transferring GoPro videos.

An amazing, durable external SSD for the Mac Mini, but M1 computers don't take full advantage of it
5/5

As a tech nerd who makes music with the Mac Mini as a secondary computer just for fun, I purchased the base model as a test factor. In my living room, I turned my Mini into a secondary studio and connected my 65-inch TV to it I have a 20-inch OLED screen. This is a great experience, sitting back on the couch with a compact MIDI controller and writing a few scratch projects in Logic is so enjoyable. This is my first time using the Pro), so I'm not complaining. Due to the fact that I got the base model M1 Mini for the lowest price, I use this as my main drive for all my projects and it functions really well for that even though it has been throttled There is a problem with the new M1 Macs because performance is reduced by about half. The manner in which Apple markets the Thunderbolt/USB ports on this computer is confusing and I should have read the fine print. I did my research, or thought I did, and I think I did, but I missed that. Thunderbolt / USB 4 is what it markets as a combination. Under Thunderbolt 3 it runs at 40 Gf/s however, it runs at USB 3 under Thunderbolt 0, which should run at 40 Gf/s, but as a result reaches its maximum speed only under Thunderbolt There is one Gen 2 specification, which operates at 10Gb/s. I find this misleading (shame on you As a result, I'm only seeing a quarter of the performance, or around 890/840 MB/s, respectively, when I write and read. This seems to be quite fast, and even allows you to edit 4K RAW Cinema files at 60 frames per second. However, it still seems a bit My friend's computer has a true USB 4 port, so I tested this on her computer. It runs at well over 1700 MB/s both reading and writing, and I have no complaints about it.

In the end, I cannot blame Apple for When the conditions are right, it performs approximately as expected. However, I'm glad that I'll still be able to use it when I upgrade this computer in probably a year or two. Then hopefully, I'll have full USB 4 connectivity. Compatibility 0 your browser does not support it. It should be noted that Apple's M1 Macs aren't ready for the Pro level newer generation drives (and don't blame the drive for it if you screw up *If you are buying it for a current generation Mac, then make sure that you get the non-touch version You will get way more for your money if you buy the pro version and reads and writes will remain unaffected. This would only be a good investment if you plan on upgrading your system very soon, like I am, or if you have a device that can actually take advantage of the.

The SanDisk Extreme PRO SSD 500GB is more than just a portable storage device
4/5

The speed of reading can reach It is slower than what I have been getting with my SanDisk Extreme SSDs (1TB and 2TB), so I purchased this 500GB Extreme PRO SSD, thinking it would read at around 1000MB/s Speed, but it doesn't. This is very surprising as the write speed is nearly two times that of the read speed 913 MB/s vs 886 MB/s. This makes it extremely portable since it is USB-based The C connector is connected to the USB connector A 2nd generation slim mouse holder with a flex cable. These two items can be found on A cable is Name of holder.

As for the photographer, this drive holds up well to the 550mb/s drive
5/5

It is faster but not dramatically. In any case, with transfers exceeding 70 gigabytes or continuous use - here is the key difference. A gaming console has better heat dispersion than an Xbox, etc. As a result, there is no speed limiting after a prolonged usage period. As soon as it warms up, the speed remains the same throughout the transfer. This alone should be enough to convince you to spend. For a complete 75 gig session, it will not take longer than three minutes using regular chronosync sessions. This is epic.

This was supposed to be 1050 MB/s
3/5

In the end, I bought a Sandisk Pro, which advertised to be 1050MB/s. It took a long time to drag the first file after I plugged it in. The picture below shows the result of the test I ran. The reason my product behaves like this is not clear to me. I see there are also a few other people who experienced the same problem in the review section. Having tried with another USB port and still had the same results, I also tested the speed of my PC SSD drive and it gave me a few hundred Mb/s, which proves that the test was Sadly, I have to go back to the store and find.

It's a good device, but the customer care is terrible
4/5

Using this with a iPad Pro 11 was an awesome experience. The software I use to edit large video files allows me to work for long periods of time without consuming any data There are various ways to store boards. The device is quick to heat up, but it does so only to a point, then it stays at that temperature for at least a couple of hours. That has been the longest time I have continuously used it. The best advice I can give is to do some research and figure it out on your own if you have any problems (not that you will). I have no confidence in their customer service. It's not worth it to be influenced by the flashback offer, That is simply an attempt to get more money from you that does not work in the long run. If you want to get the device, you can skip Flashback and customer service. With no real support, it is just a piece of hardware that is very capable for you to use. That is the only reason it isn't a five-star product.

USB 3 speed is pretty decent for this type of port
4/5

There is only one generation 2, but the quality control could be improved. The following is our review of the Samsung SSD Extreme Pro Portable SSD 500GB E80. Plus, the speed is quite good for this price point (reaching a speed of 970MB/s for sequential read and write) plus, it's not Under heavy use during the benchmark, the temperature was still acceptable
+ Compact design A short cable C- could be added to C-1 The following)*br - It could be done better by the manufacturer when it comes to quality control Despite the fact that the item is factory sealed and looks unopened, the logo on the top appears faded and chipped in several places* The price of the E60 model is almost 50% more than the previous version (E60).
