For the money, this is a great 19" 6U Rack
5/5

you are looking for a 6U rack to tuck behind a door so you can hide it out of the way like me, this is your last and best option. I assume that you are also like me and didn't look at the pictures to figure out that something vertically hung does not need to have 6U mount brackets attached to the bottom. You also buy a power supply to go in the back of the rack, only to discover that the rack came with no bottom or back. No, this is by no means a deal breaker or a problem, but merely a logical leap that needs to occur in your mind. After all, hanging something upside down doesn't make a lot of sense if it's hanging from a wall. **TL **BR **BR**TL**BR** • DR
• CONS The top locking hatch may not allow enough space for network equipment if you choose to use SFP connectors that protrude. There are only two slots on the face of the product, so first slot is not really functional based on the hardware selection and the face of the product.
Screw holes are exactly 16" apart, limiting good stud contact. As you can see in the photos, there are slight defects in the product that are evident from shipping. It may have just been the result of bumping the product before one or two things were fully dry during manufacturing. After you stop looking for them, you will not notice these, and since they will be mounted on the inside of the door when it is installed, they won't even be noticeable. While the top door leaves space for network connected equipment, it is not realistic to close it up with copper if you are using SFP connectors. I am also unsure it would be safe to use with fibers. If you want to remove the door, you can As a result, the security feature of the keys that were originally provided for this purpose is not available to you. If you couldn't see behind the wall as I could since there were no studs, you likely would not understand that your screws will only be making good contact with one stud or the other unless you line them up so that your screws touch between them just right to secure the job. On this topic, it appears that if you choose the wrong hardware, as I did see in the photos, you cannot mount most items in the first 1U slot, as well as the door latch itself hanging over the slot, which prevents the majority of network equipment from fitting there. You can easily overcome this problem by rearranging your devices to look for something that can be plugged in and forgotten It is important to consider what you will do if you don't have that choice. The wall mount for this device does not come with the necessary hardware. The reasoning for this is on a cost basis since mileage may differ based on your application However, I believe we shouldn't expect too much from a basic set of concrete bolts and stud bolts. The good part is here now. The product is visually stunning and feels great in the hand. The top and side panels on this tent are keyed and have locking hatches. It's very solid and has plenty of space for ventilation. In addition to this, it gives you the option of removing the top panel if you need to give the cables more room. This is important if you are using SFP connectors that pop out of your device and this is not possible when the door is closed. You can also run cables through the top latch while the door is closed. The door is secured through a slight crack in the back. There's a cool port with a rubber air management system to make sliding the power cables through easier, and to keep the metal frame from getting worn down by wires. You can mount it securely to the wall, as long as your stud spacing is sufficient. All in all, I highly recommend this product for my needs (hidden rack hiding behind a door with a good cable management system). The information here should give you a bit more insight into whether it will work well for you!.
