My background and expectationsI purchased this chromebook when I discovered that the Samsung Chromebook 3 is the best chromebook I have ever used Upon seeing that the chromebook had 6 GB of RAM, I was very excited With the shortcomings the chromebook has (aesthetics and size) and the advantages I want (speed and weight), I knew I would be able to find the perfect compromise use a chromebook as a secondary device to browse the web, manage emails, and watch videos on YouTube as a college professor The entire time I am doing these two things I am using a small combination of android productivity apps, either Pandora or Spotify playing in the background, and 8-12 tabs open My role in the chrome user spectrum is that of the basic or moderate level consumer, I believe The operating system is familiar to me, and I have a reasonable expectation of what a chromebook can and cannot do However, I am not a power user, so I do not push the system with external monitors, complicated apps, or use Linux The first advantage is that You must be fast There are 6 gigs of RAM on this chromebook, which is powered by a Celeron N4000 processor Unless you have had a chromebook or have upgraded in the last year, anyone looking for a machine that utilizes the N4000 processor will be very happy with it Despite being a dual-core Celeron processor, the system has a 4 mb cache which may not seem impressive at first glance The current Chromebook has significantly more memory than many of the budget machines of the past This will result in increased performance, such as: I believe users appreciate the fact that now you are able to do more at a faster pace The ability to switch between tabs, load pages quickly, and multitask Samsung made an excellent choice in opting for 6 GB of RAM to be the main selling point of this smartphone The RAM in Chromebooks is usually available in two options, 4 GB and 8 GB There is typically no way to upgrade from 4 gb to 8 gb on many units since 8 gb units are much rarer Despite the fact that they run fine with 4 gb, the upgrade to 6 gb gives them more than enough room The extra 2 GB of RAM from the norm produce a wonderful user experience that makes the machine feel buttery smooth It is impossible for me to isolate how much the processor contributes to the sensation Weight and form factor: The machine is very satisfying in terms of weight and form Adding this device to your bag adds very little weight, and walking across campus in the morning and evening is very convenient like how light it is despite being so cheaply made The device is far more robust than you'd expect from such a cheap and light device For anyone who enjoys the lightweight portability an 11 5" laptop provides, the device is a good choice Those seeking a small machine should look no further than this model, which fits the bill while not feeling lightweight Pro:Screen: It's the first time I have ever said that an otherwise well-designed machine has a single flaw I would take issue with, but with this machine the screen is genuinely terrible In fact, chromebooks in the budget range and with an 11-inch screen are usually not as sharp due to their lower resolution Screen size is 6 inches, and the resolution is the same on all of them In addition, it isn't because of the TN screen because the Samsung Chromebook 3 had a manageable TN panel which didn't degrade the experience I just find this panel to be awful You can only view it from a very specific angle Your eye must hit it exactly with your eye so that the colors don't wash out and the text doesn't become blurry at the top or the bottom As a result, it does not suit a lot of my primary needs because it is grainy, washed out, and pixelated Compared to the Samsung Chromebook 3, this Chromebook appears to have a lower brightness It just astonishes me that they selected such a subpar panel that feels like a step backward from the previous model they sold so well It was literally so bad looking that I wondered if my machine was defective, but my experience matches what I read in the few reviews I have seen so far ConclusionThis was the machine I had hoped to love, and everything I saw on paper I expected to like, I actually liked I was glad that Samsung picked 6 gb of RAM as an excellent choice The speed and memory are excellent, so I am satisfied with it Although the screen didn't meet my expectations, the keyboard worked well and I would have been satisfied had it not been for it No matter what the price, the screen is just unacceptable There is no way to overshadow the quality of the panel used in this place, despite its speed and smooth operation Unless you are using an external monitor, you tend to look at the screen for everything you do This monitor will almost certainly cause you to get eyestrain and become an inconvenient chore as you constantly reposition your eyes to the screen and the angle of the screen It is just not worth the effort, in my opinion I know I sound overly critical or that I knock the machine too much for one issue, but their screen is among one of the most critical and important components, and their failure can ruin an otherwise spectacular experience Comparison of alternative 11 with this model You will see what I mean when you see 6 inch chromebooks Do not buy expensive models, better screens, or nicer With other budget TN screens, you will discover that at the same resolution and the same size, the numbers don't line up and this screen is inferior in both performance and image quality While I would have loved it and Samsung had made excellent choices for the processor and RAM, I am disappointed with the screen panel choice, which outweighs all those good decisions The product quality is ruined as a result

Directly from Samsung I purchased a model with 6 GB of RAM I would give this five stars if there was a better screen It had good build quality and small details seemed to have been well taken care of It is futile, though, since there is no screen There is a high degree of directionality to the screen As a result of slight movements, the brightness levels on the screen change to such an extent that eye strain occurs I was just resting it on my lap and trying to work on it when it happened The text appears fuzzy and shadowed even when viewed from the best angle It is unfortunate that the screen quality is so disappointing, since otherwise, it would be a really nice unit

I really like this Chromebook It has a good keyboard, touchpad, and good battery life The display is not as good as those costing 2 to 4 times as much, but it works for daily use and I find it not to bother me at all

Having a Chromebook for the first time is exciting for me Prior to purchasing, I asked a lot of questions and did a lot of research The issue with signing on occurred when the package arrived Then I decided to call support since I wasn't able to get it to work on my own I am pretty sure the man I spoke to has never seen a Chromebook before Even if it was an issue I had trouble understanding, he would have to look it up and then argue with me I was instructed, for example, to click the right button on the scroll when I found the two buttons Two buttons are not present After speaking with him for an hour, I started to get irritated because it was just that one smooth pad like most laptops have Finally, he decided I had to mail it in for service They sent me a shipping label with the incorrect address and name on it My next step was to reach out to them According to the "supervisor," a corrected label would be sent to the customer There was never an opportunity like this The problem was eventually fixed in less than 15 minutes by my son, who came to visit from 2000 miles away In short, Samsung: It would be useful if you had some tech support staff who knew what they were talking about Upon signing on, I found the machine to be very good I read so many negative reviews about its screen quality, but I do not see any trouble with it This is a clear and bright day Speed is the biggest difference between my old laptop and this one - I'm noticing it is WAY faster!

They had to cut costs somewhere for a Chromebook with a price of less than $300 What are the pros and cons of the TN panel? In contrast, this laptop costs me $302 with tax, has 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, will be updated at least until 2026, and also does what I need it to do (homework, writing) Samsung Chrome book 3 is an excellent machine, and the Chrome book 4 is an impressive device With this laptop, you'll have a small footprint but a light weight To make it easier for me to transport it from campus back to home It is also freaking sexy with the new design The laptop that I use most often is definitely my favorite
