There are two available NVMe slots. This is the second M. The stock 512 GB hard drive that comes with the computer takes up the second slot. The unit is in excellent working order and provides excellent performance.
If you want high-quality video editing, you'll need an OLED monitor. I use my innocn oled monitor for photo editing in Photoshop, just as an example.
Yes, I was able to increase my storage capacity to the maximum of 40GB without any issues. As previously stated, you desire a single rank. In my case, I have 32GB crucial in the extra slot, as well as 8GB soldered to the board.

After touching something, wash your hands. This is a direct quote from the instruction book. I understand if the device contains chemicals, but if I have to wash my hands every time I "handle" it, it is most likely unsafe. I returned it and wished that this warning had been included in the product description because I would not have bought it otherwise. This entire procedure was extremely inconvenient.
I've only had it for a day, but it's already proven to be a great machine. Even if you are not very computer literate, it is very simple to set up. I've had better performance/longevity with Asus computers than with other brands over the course of my life, so I have no doubts about their reliability. I make music, and this is more than capable of handling the majority of my requirements. I intend to upgrade my RAM simply to improve plug-in performance. br> Overall, I would recommend this seller because the item arrived two days earlier and in perfect condition. Without a doubt, I will purchase from you again.
I'm going to keep it straightforward. Advantages: br>br> As of Q3 2021, modern and powerful CPU/GPU. When plugged in, the NVMe drive, which comes with a second slot for another drive, boots up in less than five seconds. The screen is of excellent quality, and the battery life is excellent. notch. USBC charging (among other things) via Thunderbolt 4 port. On the keyboard, there's an Armoury Crate button, and it's at a very reasonable price. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. No 2. I couldn't find a 5" drive port (if one exists, I'll update this review). My case and NVMe slot bolts were so tight that I nearly stripped them, and I had to get creative to get some of them off. Notes: br>br> There's also a second RAM slot on this machine. Instead of two 4GB sticks, mine came with one 8GB stick. Also, this is the first PC I've owned that didn't recognize the second NVMe drive I installed right away, but it only required manual formatting. With two 512GB drives and 24GB RAM, it works perfectly.
I bought this laptop to use as a low-end gaming PC. It arrived on time and in good condition, and it worked perfectly. I had some trouble loading games at first because the drivers were out of date, but once that was fixed, I was able to do so without crashing. br>br>However, as a gaming computer, this machine struggles to perform above a very basic level. Minecraft, squad, Halo Reach, and Skyrim all have problems running on it. None of these games should be difficult to play, but I've been getting low FPS (sometimes as low as 20) on a regular basis. 30 on the lowest settings) and a lot of crashes. Any type of multitasking on this computer causes it to crash. br>br>Having said that, I believe that all of these problems are caused by a lack of RAM. In a few weeks, I'll upgrade the RAM to 16GB, and I strongly advise you to do the same if you buy this laptop. If you're deciding between a gaming laptop and a desktop PC, I strongly advise you to go with the latter. I bought it solely for the purpose of work and mobility. Even as a work laptop, however, the RAM is in desperate need of replacement.
I absolutely adore this laptop. I've owned Asus laptops before and they've never failed me. I especially like the lighting on the keyboard. It does get a little warm, but that's to be expected with gaming laptops and desktops. In general, I believe that for the price, it should last a very long time. Best of all, ASUS includes a one-year free product protection plan with this new purchase; all you have to do is register it online. Highly recommended for budget gaming. Only drawbacks are the lack of a webcam and the inability to upgrade the hard drive, so if you need more space, you'll need to buy an external hard drive. There is also no optical drive, which I don't mind because I use it primarily for gaming. Things with which I can come to an agreement.
My battery was dead when I arrived. We finished installing Windows and adjusting some preferences, then unplugged it, and it died immediately. It was not going to charge anything. If it wasn't plugged in, it wouldn't turn on. I tried all of the FAQ solutions, but none of them worked. I ended up talking to Asus on the phone. For repair/replacement, they referred us to a nearby warranty center. We should get it back with a new battery and it will be tested as working, but it will take over a week. It was disappointing, but there were a few other reviews warning about defective factory batteries. We must have gotten one of the duds by chance, but that's life. EDIT: br>br> It took ten days to receive a new battery and the laptop was returned to me. Now it's a breeze to use. There aren't any serious issues. It accomplishes the task at hand. As I previously stated, we were unlucky with the battery, but other reviewers experienced the same issue. Because the laptop now functions as it should, the rating goes from 1 tobr>br>Once we get it back and have a chance to use it, I'll come back here and change my 1 star to something else. Until then, I consider it a poor investment and cannot recommend it for obvious reasons. EDIT: br>br> We had to wait about two weeks for the battery to be replaced under warranty and for the laptop to be returned to us. Now it's a breeze to use. We've had plenty of opportunity to use and test it, and we have no complaints at this point. Obviously, we would have preferred to have gotten a good one right out of the box, but the manufacturer was quick to respond and sent us to a local repair shop, where they were able to get it fixed as quickly as possible. Our rating scale ranges from 1 to 4, with 1 being the lowest and 4 being the highest.
