There is a flip-down clip for the connector which allows it to be positioned in any orientation. Neither the product I received had a clip that allowed it to be flattened to the motherboard. There was also only one ribbon on the keyboard (not two so it was not the version needed to backlight the keys).

As expected, the item arrived on time, works just like the original, and installing it took less than a minute. The only problem was that there was no A bubble wrap envelope was used for shipping and the corners on one side were bent enough to affect the fit somewhat, and some keys are not level. It appears to have been handled rough, as the keys are not level on one side. The rest of my keyboard costs $14, so I'm happy with it.
That is the laptop I ordered for my daughter. The item was delivered to her because she was attending school in Iowa at that time. The part is pretty easy to replace, I walked her through it over the phone. Overall, there are no issues at all, and the application works great.
Buying is not a good idea. They don't tell you that the keyboard doesn't have back lighting but it installed very easily. A backlit keyboard came with my original keyboard. It is OK in terms of the keyboard. The space bar is about 4 inches wide but it only works if it is pressed hard directly in the middle. If you push it off center it does not.
Despite the keyboard being a little touchy to the touch, I love the backlight. I had a small area that did not snap into place as well as I would have liked, but it stayed in place and did not cause any issues.
The keyboard arrived in less than 5 minutes and was so easy to install that even a luddite like me could remove my old keyboard and replace it.
My laptop keyboard worked perfectly after I installed it, and it actually felt better than the one that came with my laptop. I haven't encountered any issues with the keys, and installing it was as simple as installing.
Although it's easy to install, not all letters work the same way, and in some cases you need to push it really hard, and sometimes you have to push it over and over again. Keyboard is really bad.
It is a good thing that this one didn't.
