Questions & Answers

Are the designers of this product aware of how much better USB 3 would have been? Instead of two ports, there are zero. 0 ports?

This is a full-fledged device. a large-scale version of a single monolithic chip that was previously used in PC chipsets when they were 3. 0 had yet to gain traction. br>Now that these chips are in plentiful supply and are relatively inexpensive to build around, you'll see a slew of quick-to-market products. multi-and-dirty if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself The time has come for port solutions to hit the market.

Are memory cards compatible with USB 2? either usb 0 or usb 3. Is there a zero interface? Please test with a fast memory card with a transfer rate of at least 50 megabytes per second. ?

They seem to be connected to a USB 2 port. I had used up all of my USB 2 ports. My motherboard has no headers, so I'm only using the USB 3.0 port. I have yet to be successful in getting the card reader to work.

Is there a user manual somewhere? I'd like to see it before I buy it. ?

I was also unable to locate a manual. I would not have ordered this unit if I had known what I was getting myself into. This unit has a lot of missing information!

When it comes to cables, how long do they last?

Power and double-headed USB cables are 17" long, while sata cables are 20" long. In my full-sized case, everything got to where it needed to be. If your motherboard doesn't have a standard USB header, you'll need an extension cable to connect to an expansion card; however, correct extension cables are rare, and they'll try to sell you every wrong combination. Also, keep in mind that the dashboards can be a little fragile; I had to replace mine right after the warranty replacement period ended, and it came with two broken "tongues" in the usb 3 plugs. don't let that deter you; I have two others in my other computers and they work fine.

The quality is poor
3/5

Pro: CON: There are a lot of connectors on the front panel. br> br>1. Poor quality (control) and hazardous design Plug did not fit because audio connectors were glued with holtmelt 2mm deep inside. br>- So I opened the case, cleaned the hotmelt, and reinstalled the connectors in their proper (flushing front) positions. br>- and then re-glued it. Make sure there isn't any glue in the upper ditch for the case's top. That's something I didn't realize: (
- The issue has been resolved. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br both sides of the audio connector (L-R) R) has been altered! As a result, I swapped the two cables at the board connector.
- Don't break the plastic latches by gently lifting them with a fine needle or screwdriver. Gently pull the rope.
- The connectors are on the (lower) 5 pin line (as opposed to the keyed side with 4 pins)br>- The middle and rightmost ones should be swapped, with white going in the middle and violet going to the right.
- The issue has been resolved! 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. The worst part is the 5/12V Connector, which has active male pins but no female, indicating that you haven't found a suitable cable. br>- I'd like to make one with females on both sides! Any standard equipment can be connected to the system.
- DANGER: If metal parts come into contact with your board, PWR supply, or anything else, you might burn it!.

Readers for cards are USB 1
3/5

0 NOT 3. I bought it for one reason: USB 3 is written on the device. The USB ports, on the other hand, are three in number. The card readers, on the other hand, aren't. It was a huge let down.

There's no way I'm going to be able to mount this
3/5

This was delivered to me only a couple of days ago. There is one small zip lock bag with two tiny screws about 1/4" long that will not help you mount this device. I'm curious if there was anything missing. Unfortunately, I recently sold several hundred pounds of computer-related items, so I don't have a junk box to rummage through for mounting parts. I'm also annoyed by how vague the description is about the need for a pci-e card. They seem to gloss over the fact that you'll need both a slot and a card, as if the slot is all you'll ever need. I just placed an order for the card, but I still need the mounting hardware. It won't be fixed with two tiny self-tap screws. Please let me know if you have any idea what I'll need to mount this. I'll update this report if I ever get it up and running.

Is a hard worker who knows what she's doing
5/5

I have an older Z68 build with an i7-4790K processor. 3770 br>I needed to upgrade my front IO. finally. br>This device is only $23 and does a decent job. br>I ordered the 5252E20 (model A) with sata/esata, molex, and usb 2 connectivity. 0/3. 0 headphone / microphone, Micro SD (tf), mmc, cf (compact flash), and SD card ports are all available. br>I do a lot of tinkering with older LGA 1155 PCs, and this comes in handy when I need to check out HDs or look through old PDA / digital camera memory cards. ((To test hard drives and optical drives, I ordered a female molex lp4 to female sata cable))- > Y-Connector for 4 Pin IDE Molex to Dual SATA Power Adapter for Cables 8. 67 Inches)br>It's not the fastest IO, but it'll do the job. Especially the readers of cards. However, it completes the task. . . . at some point. br>I mean, this thing is under $25, has a ton of features, and was created back when Windows 7 was a thing. so,. br>I suppose you get what you pay for, so don't expect anything spectacular. br>Most motherboards made in the last ten years will have all of the cables connected properly.

There are many useful ports, but there are some issues that I'd like to share with you
3/5

No screws were included with the device, as has been the case with my recent purchases of similar products; perhaps it was just bad luck, but I didn't see any, and that is bad business. br>br>Power connector was of poor quality; wires pushed out of the back while plugged into the 4 pin power source; had to straighten and hold the wires from the back to get them seated. br>br>I gave it one star because it took me an hour to find four screws and repair the power port. Because of the length of the audio connector's cord, I had no choice but to uninstall the device and relocate it to the lowest drive bay, which some people might not have in a simple modern case. br>br>The side holes for screws are threaded for standard drive mounting screws, but they are plastic, so I had to be careful when screwing the screws I found in my desk into the device; even a slight twist above tight will strip them out. While this may seem minor, a device into which you will be plugging things can force the entire unit into your drive bay, indicating that little thought was put into this aspect of the product. br>br>As for the ports and functionality, I am not sure how well it will perform; I may revisit this later, but my rating will remain unchanged. 1 star because there are no screws, the parts are cheap, the wires are short, and the screw holes are made of plastic. br>br>As an aside, as previously stated, I have ordered and returned three other similar products due to the lack of this or that part; this is my first experience with Chinese goods. Consider returning these items to send a message to China that they need to improve their quality control, which is currently atrocious. In this case, I'm fed up with returning items and waiting for replacement screws. br>br>While the price of this item is reasonable if it works, it does not include a USB port. C (USB- 1) It makes no such claim, but the most recent USB non- Most motherboards today have a USB 3. 0 port, which is known by many different names but is the same port. One port alone will set you back an additional $15 or more, and competing products with this extremely fast port built into their bezels will set you back a few more dollars. br>br>If the screws had been included and the power port had not been so poorly constructed, I would have tested the item and given it a five-star rating as long as it worked. I was also asked irrelevant questions about the product, such as how shear, thick, and warm it was, that were related to the review.
