Questions & Answers

Is this 64GB 2x32GB c16 3200MHz kit compatible with the ASUS rog crosshair viii hero x570 motherboard? What are the timings?

Hello,br>br>This is the one we'd suggest for the X570: If you have any additional questions, please contact us at: CMW64GX4M4A2666C16br>br> corsair is a word that has a lot of different meanings depending on what com

I already had 16 GB and wanted to add another 16 GB. I was curious as to what version is currently in use. is it v5. 32?

Hello Rafael,br>br>I'm afraid we don't stock any of our DRAM by version number; however, if you buy so soon after purchasing another kit with the same part number, you'll almost certainly get the same version number. It's worth noting that even then, there's no guarantee that the two separate kits will work well or at all together, but you might get lucky. - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Does the RGB light turn off or do you have to use black light?

RGB in iCUE can be customized or turned off.

Is it possible to use 2x8gb white rgb 3200mhz and 2x8gb black rgb 3200mhz at the same time? The specs are the same, the brand is the same, but the white and black versions are different. ?

So long as you use the same Cl ram, for example, if you get a black 3200 C16, you should also get a white 3200 C16 and vice versa.

Just in case it is of assistance to anyone
5/5

So I bought these for my build and ran into a minor issue that no one has mentioned. br>br>I had a Ryzen 2700x processor, an ASROCK x370m Pro4 motherboard, and 32GB of these sticks (3200). They don't appear on the QVL list. br>br>At first, I tried putting all four in at the same time, but they wouldn't even get to the BIOS and kept booting up in a loop. I tried a few different approaches, such as only using two pairs at a time, but the problem persisted. I double-checked that everything was connected and that the processor was properly seated. Despite the fact that everything appeared to be in order, the boot loop persisted. br>br>I found that putting a single stick in the first slot worked best for me. When I only had one stick in it, it recognized it and took me to the BIOS for some reason; perhaps someone knows why? The strange thing about it is that it had to be a specific stick. One of the two sticks was effective, while the other was not. Then I simply added each stick one at a time until all four were operational. The RAM was only set to 2133, but that's not a big deal because it can be changed. br>br>I'm not sure why mine only needed one specific stick to start, but if you're having trouble, give it a try; it might work for you.

They are smaller and take up less room
5/5

Great RAM; I have an older version of this RAM that is a few centimeters larger. This one is SLI=Slim, which means it's smaller and takes up a lot less space on the motherboard. br>The larger version appears to be sold out and more expensive on other websites. br>br>Atta he'd is a comparison between the SLI and previous versions of the RAM. It's difficult to tell, but it's smaller.

RAM is excellent
5/5

It really works. I was able to get the 2x32gb version. After reading the review, I assumed it would be Hynix, but instead I received a B-. Die? I was able to get 3600mhz at cl16 stable on my 3900x. I think 64 GB at 3600 MHz is pretty good! I can now have three chrome tabs open at the same time. br>br>The RGB is decent, bright, and shiny. However, I wish that the white version was more readily available. Powered by a 3900x/Strix B450 I board and a 2080ti graphics card.

With iCUE, the RGB LEDs could cause strange errors
4/5

My toy robot, which had several blinking lights, was the most recent item I had with multiple blinking lights on it. I was four years old when this happened to me. For the most part, the RGB LED craze of putting flashing lights on every computer component seems completely ridiculous; I only bought this model because I needed two 32GB sticks and had previously used Corsair Vengeance with good results. The LEDs are set to a slow "breath" cycle that changes to a different hue every 5 seconds or so by default on my Gigabyte Aorus Master Z390 motherboard, and they work perfectly. If you want complete control over the LEDs, you'll need to download Corsair's bloatware program iCUE, which will almost certainly cause more problems than it solves. I used iBloat to map the LEDs to the dimms temperature sensor so I could tell if they were getting too hot. My Corsair HX1200i PSU's voltage regulator began clicking after I made this adjustment. I'm still troubleshooting the LEDs two days later (the HX1200i hasn't failed me in over two years). The clicking stops when the LEDs are turned off. I'm still tinkering with finding a middle ground; stay tuned.

Don't be a fool, reset your BIOS/CMOS/UEFI to defaults before installing this kit; it works great with AMD 3950X and X570 motherboards
5/5

Who has two thumbs and installs RAM without first double-checking the timings? This guy! )br>br>When combined with an AMD Ryzen 9 3950X and an Asus ROG Strix X570-M, the RAM performs admirably. BIOS version 2407 on the E Gaming motherboard. Before booting into Windows 10, I ran Memtest86 for ten hours (2 full passes) to make sure the RAM was fault-free. I ran a few 3DMark benchmarks to ensure that the RAM could also handle gaming. br>br>Although the default Rainbow RGB pattern produces lovely colors, the brightness quickly wears off. That was quickly remedied by iCUE. br>br>Over the next few weeks, I'll continue to hammer them in with gaming, Chrome tabs, virtualization, video editing, and photo processing, among other things. If I come across any negative findings, I'll make sure to update my review!.

Is there a high-quality Amazon product? I purchased two 2x8 GB Corsair RGB 3200 MHz RAM packs, one from Amazon and the other from BB
3/5

The BB one was the first to arrive, and it went in without a hitch, with 16 GB auto-detecting at 3200 MHz via XMP. My RAM speed dropped to 2133 MHz after I installed the Amazon RAM, which totaled 32 GB. The blue screen of death appeared after a period of computer use. The computer was unable to return to the Windows operating system. I removed the Amazon RAM and reinstalled Windows after 2 hours of troubleshooting. After a week, I went back to BB and purchased and installed another set of RAM. It worked flawlessly, detecting 3200 MHz automatically, and I now have 32 GB RAM. For the past month, my machine has been performing admirably. So now it's up to you to decide if it's worth it or not. Is it a coincidence that my Amazon purchase was a dud? Is it true that Amazon sells B-grade books? Isn't it a waste of time?.

After a month, it resulted in a Blue Screen of Death
3/5

On the 28th of February, I placed an order for this product. It was fantastic ram; the color was perfect for my build, and the lighting effects were fantastic. Until today, April 13th, when it stopped working. Every 15 minutes, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT Blue Screens of Death appeared on my computer, rendering it unusable. I decided to run a Windows Memory Diagnostic, and it confirmed that there were problems: "Hardware Problems were detected. " You'll have to contact the manufacturer to figure out what's wrong and how to fix it. " I'm going to try to fix this, but BSODs after less than a month? Corsair, you can do a lot better.

The first set was faulty, and memtest failed
4/5

I'm using these with an ASUS ROG STRIX TRX40-based AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3960X processor. DDR4 3600 on an XE board running at full XMP speeds. Unfortunately, the first kit I received was defective, and no matter how many adjustments I made, memtest continued to throw errors. The replacement kit is far superior, with zero errors - All I had to do was enable the XMP profile and set the SOC voltage to 1. 05v. br>br>There's also the RGB lighting, which is fully controllable via Corsair's iCUE software. These have a bit of latency, but I suppose that's the price you pay for convenience. if you buy 32 GB sticks, you'll get a discount.
