Questions & Answers

What do you mean by ?

A PCIe card does not have the five and three slots. You can choose from 3 volts. This is the case with plain old 32 bit PCI.

Are there any plans to integrate it with a g540 CNC ?

While I'm not 100% sure about what applies to a g540, I know that it works in an external monitor Using my Bridgeport CNC control, this desktop runs Linuxcnc on Windows 10, and it talks to the BOB boards. My fourth and last board was the LEGACY brand. It was the first one I was able to use. Take a look at them! If they need to be returned, you can always do so.

What is the profile of the low profile adapter that comes with the parallel card so it can be installed in the Dell ?

I received two of these today, and they do not come with low profile brackets (Thankfully we have some low profile brackets in our spare parts bin that can be used. In itself, the card is short enough and fits well. Therefore, it does not make sense not to

Basically, I have a Dell Optiplex 3040 with whatever it is that looks like a half-way decent AMD CPU The ports should be high enough. What size would this fit on a half-person Are you tall?

There will be no problem supporting half of the There is a low profile (or low height) card slot. In the documentation it is stated Whether you are installing in a standard height or low profile chassis, the brackets are included." *br> *br>I have been using this card in our manufacturing plant for years. The product is supplied as a complete kit The card is a full height, but it includes brackets that can be swapped out (by using a screwdriver) to reduce it to just Thus, you will need to make sure that you have 2 half-height slots available for their installation.

I built the board wrong, and although it almost works, all the baud rates are After a week of dealing with this, I was able to relax

Logic analyzer) determined that all the baud rates on this board were incorrect. In the end, I was able to locate the datasheet of the chip (MCS9900CV) used on this board, and it turns out that this chip EXPECTS a 30 MHz crystal for the serial port. During the construction of my board, I used a 25MHz crystal (see page 38 of the data sheet). It took me a very long time to find it and now that the return period has ended, I have no option left. The test failed.

The product is good, but the bracket would be a lot lower profile
5/5

I bought this to use on an old computer that is still using an old legacy printer and several other old programs. I did not receive a low-profile bracket since it does not come with one. This choice became my 2nd choice for a card as I failed to take advantage of the low-profile bracket with my first choice. I ordered this card when my first choice, "competitor product", failed to work for a few days. Thanks to this card, the competitors bracket fit perfectly on this card. It was easy to install and configure this card, and best of all, my customer is still able to The product was installed on a clean Windows 7 32x computer with all updates installed as of November Worked like a charm with the adaptor card.

The default Windows 10 drivers have been installed and are working
5/5

I'm not sure how I came up with this, but it works. I was able to install it without downloading or installing any drivers once I had finished installing it, fired up my computer, and Windows 10 detected and installed it without any effort. In order to connect a datamax label printer with only a parallel port, we used this device. Btw - I did other computer work on a new machine that lacked a parallel port. I was able to detect the dongle that was required for the printer to work with the installed software using the card, and it also worked perfectly. Rather than dealing with a USB to parallel or whatever type of adapter cable and dealing with the manufacturer's driver, this approach is recommended. I have found that these cards generally work about 90% of the time, whereas the adapter cables are only reliable.

The software runs well on Windows Having a Parallel port on my Win 10 machine was helpful, and this piece of hardware seemed to have a good reputation and a low price point
5/5

It worked like a charm! It took me a while to find the driver online since the one on the CD that came with it failed to As I cannot read the disk, it appears that the disk has a problem. I don't think this is a big issue since it's always best to get the latest drivers from the companies' websites.

It's getting harder and harder to find good cards like these nowadays
5/5

In order to enjoy my hobby, I need lots and lots of RS-232 This port is on an IEEE 232 port. It's getting harder and harder to find good cards like these nowadays. I'm happy to see that SIIG still manufactures them, a quality manufacturer I have had good luck with for years! Currently installing on a brand new PC that has Windows 10. I had both drivers loaded and was up and running within 10 minutes, a 45 minute drive each way. SIIG was able to send messages at 45 and 75 bauds with no issues

Thanks!.

There is no end to what works until there is no end to what doesn't
3/5

Microsoft Windows 10 is being used. Initially, it worked, then it stopped working till I restarted my computer. When the card was first installed on the computer, it was located on a mini-card Included in the package was a CD. The device worked for a period of time, then It wasn't installed and I uninstalled and reinstalled it. My next step was to go to the vendor's website and download the Win 10 driver, hoping the outcome would be better. That didn't happen, and in my case it has the same issue of "working when it wants" unless I retried The PC should boot up. If I had to give this ONE star, I would have given it ONE star. However, I got the card quickly, and returning it to the vendor for my refund was not prohibitively difficult, so I gave them TWO stars. There is something special about the way I feel.

Older printers can be supported by this PCIe card
5/5

The purpose of these were to enable us to continue to use some old but very capable HP Laserjet printers when we upgraded computers to newer ones that would not have the old style printer ports. I find that it is much cheaper than buying new laser printers to use these printers, and they work very well. Since I just bought another one for use with a third PC that I bought recently, I purchased another one. The parallel printer cards remain available to me and I am very happy. This is a highly recommended book.

Designed for Windows 10 users
5/5

The Windows 10 OS allows me to use a few of my older devices. A simple test on an old printer showed that it worked flawlessly. Deskjet 694C from HP. It is also possible to use the serial port. complaints, and even though I only required a parallel port, I am pleased to have the serial port as well. So I needed to make sure my 1993 TI-83 has been synchronized As a student once again, I have a 82 calculator and was surprised to find out that the calculator is able to communicate with the computer via the serial port.
