For this, I didn't require any additional drivers. I have two of them, one each in Centos 7 and FreeBSD, and kernel drivers have been sufficient.

It came with 6" or 8" sata cables, I believe. I calculated the distance between the card and the device I was connecting, as well as the shortest path, and ordered longer cables.

I purchased this item in order to improve the performance of my old computer. It's simple to set up. I've loaded the drivers, but I'm having trouble getting the card's speeds to work as stated in the description. You might find it useful. It is possible that your results will differ.
04, it's perfect. The server number is 4. Because it has the Marvell 88SE9215 chip and drivers built into the OS, I chose this card over a $10 cheaper alternative.
