Questions & Answers

Hello, can you tell me if this card uses Samsung GDDR5 or not? thanks?

GDDR5 memory from Hynix was included with my GTX 1060.

Is it possible to use the four video clips? Is it possible to have four screens open at the same time?

According to the product's description, it supports four simultaneous displays "Quad simultaneous display capable." However, I have never done so in practice.

Is it an 8-bit connected device?

Yes, the power connector is an 8-pin connector. However, I strongly advise against purchasing anything other than ZOTAC. Mine was defective right out of the box, and I had to return it to Amazon for a refund, which cost me more than $50. br>I upgraded to an MSI 1660 Ti, which was well worth the extra $30.

Why is the Zotac 1660 cheaper here? I saw an identical card with the same features, but it was $230 and here it was $199, both sold and shipped by Amazon. Is that questionable?

Prices at zotac are reasonable.

In comparison to the RX 580, this is a waste of money
3/5

This card is extremely energy efficient and extremely quiet. The good news comes to an end there. This card is a rip-off when compared to the RX 580 ($185). In the FPS/$$$ department, you're off. The 580 from Team Red delivers the same results as the 1660 for $35 less. The GDDR5 1660 is a waste of money when compared to comparable GPUs in terms of cost. After owning both the 1660 and the 1660 Ti, as well as a 9400F, I can confidently state that if you MUST HAVE NVIDIA, get the Ti. You get about 30% higher performance AND it can even play games on high setting at 4K very comfortably for the $60 higher cost you get about 30 higher performance AND it can even play game IF YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT NVIDIA, go with the RX 580 at this price point and save $35 while getting the SAME PERFORMANCE. br>br>It's a waste of money to buy this 1660. This is a card for which NVIDIA should be embarrassed.

It's ridiculously overpriced at the moment
3/5

priced. This card was a good deal at its original MSRP of $220 when it was first released. It's absurdly overpriced at 440 dollars, according to Amazon's current listing (sold and shipped by Amazon). priced. Having said that, I needed a replacement card and paid the advertised price - I'm afraid I can't advise others to follow in my footsteps. It's a good low-cost option on its own. GPU with the Turing architecture at its apex. Although the slower GDDR5 memory degrades game performance, it is actually quite capable of running compute kernel (CUDA, OpenCL) workloads. br>br>I'm not sure if Amazon or Zotac are to blame for the $440 listing price, but one of them (I'm guessing Zotac) is being a jerk. Don't pay this price or purchase this card unless you absolutely have to.

Not at all what I had anticipated
3/5

UP UNTIL THIS ONE, I've always thought the GeForce was the best value for money. In this case, Nvidia failed miserably. The card DOES work and has four outputs, so it can easily handle all four monitors. It's even better when you play Metal Slug alongside Mortal Kombat 3. However, the GPU in Forza Motorsport 11, MKX, Battlefield 4, and even Fallout 76 is inadequate. I should've spent the extra 80 dollars on a better line. I'm going to reconsider my next purchase; Nvidia has just lost a fan:.

The best deal
5/5

I've put several nVidia versions of this generation (1050, 1060, 1070, 1080) into other people's computers, and my old GTX 580 finally died (one fan stopped spinning, the other made noise, and my screen flashed white a few times a day). This prompted me to upgrade, and I discovered that the 1060 was the best "bang-for-your-buck" option available at the time. for- the- buck". I just wish the video card market had improved (I'm not a big fan of cryptominers). br>br>This is the first time I've bought a ZOTAC card; after deciding on the 1060, I chose this brand based on the price and size of the card, and I'm very pleased with it. It's ideal for dual 1440p monitors connected via DP. Both monitors now appear as audio devices, and they work, but the monitor audio isn't very good, as one would expect. I think I'll stick to using headphones with my external DAC/AMP, but I thought it was cool. br>br>When the fan is not in use, it is quiet; however, when the fan is in use, it becomes louder, but not excessively so. All that's left to do now is see how long it lasts. If I run into any problems, I'll update this review.

It's a good balance of performance and price, and it's compatible with Ubuntu 18
4/5

I needed a good card to drive my 27" 4K display on my Ubuntu Linux system while working from home, and it had to give me good FPS in Steam (and it had to be delivered quickly). Against my better judgment, I'd tried a Radeon-based graphics card. Prior to this, I had an incompatible nightmare with a card that was based on it. There are less expensive cards, but the ZOTAK had the GPU I wanted and a lot more RAM than some of the others. br>br>Installation was fairly straightforward. Remove the old card, replace it with the new one, and connect the PCIE power cable. I strongly advise you to use a power supply with a wattage of at least 650 or 750. I had a Corsair 750 watt supply on my parts shelf that I installed at the same time, and I was surprised by how quiet the system was when I turned it on. br>br>I prefer to use the official Nvidia drivers because they usually have better management utilities and performance. After you've configured the system to use the "multi-user" mode, you can start using it. user. target", I installed their drivers and followed their installation procedure to blacklist the nouveau kernel modules. br>br>After a reboot, the system reverted to the default "graphical" mode. target" and everything else fell into place after that. br>br>I tested Kerbel on Steam and found the display to be crisp, clean, and with a good frame rate. I didn't notice any additional fan noise and confirmed that the card was still running cool. The two large fans do a good job of moving air while making very little noise. br>br>Overall, I'm pleased with the card; it strikes a good balance between price and performance and has proven to be trouble-free so far.

Fits perfectly in a compact frame
5/5

Upgrading from a low-cost build to a mid-cost build range, and so far it appears to be effective. The FPS is very good, especially for a first-person shooter. in comparison to the previous card (GTX 650) The card fits perfectly in my mini-album. Case for ITX - During installation, I had to slightly relocate the optical drive, but everything is now in place. In addition, it is relatively quiet!.

There's a lot of bang for your buck with this one
5/5

I used it in conjunction with an i7-based processor. 7700 processor with 16GB DDR4 memory. Games were played at 1080p, 1440p, and even 4K resolutions. In 4K, 60 frames per second (FPS) at 1080/1440p Ultra and 30 frames per second (FPS) at High It's not much more expensive than a GTX 1050 Ti and less expensive than a GTX 1060, but it outperforms both.

If you want to pay msrp (Mean Street Retail Price), this is the best option
5/5

I really like it because it's small and can fit in almost any case, and it outperforms its rated boost clock of about 1980mhz when gaming. If anyone was wondering, it is also 10% faster than a gtx 1060 6gb in some games and about 10 to 15 fps slower than a gtx 1070.
