Questions & Answers
We use these in Optiplex 5040 SFF systems that only accept low profile cards, so it's definitely a low profile, dual slot card.
This model (optiplex 745) is available in four different configurations: desktop, mini tower, small form factor, and ultra small form factor, according to my research. Only the small form factor has been installed. WARNING: Unless the chassis and card are both severely modified, this will not fit in sff. I haven't installed ff on a desktop computer yet. However, based on the dimensions listed on Dell's website, the desktop is slightly larger than the sff, and I believe it would fit perfectly with the sff/lp bracket.
The card uses 75 watts of power from the PCI slot, so a 275 watt power supply is recommended.
Selected User Reviews For MSI Computer V809-2277R Video Card (GTX 1050 TI 4GT OC)
This is an excellent entry-level card for playing most games on low settings, but please, for the love of God, don't overpay for it. In October of this year, I paid around $150 for mine. Don't fall for the scalpers' ruses.
***I'm posting this for all of the components used in the build, so please forgive me if you've already seen it on another component review. * br>br>The instructions were simple to follow, and I was able to complete the installation on my first attempt. Instead of buying an overpriced computer that limits my options like an IMac, MacBook, or box PC Gaming station, my husband and I built a custom computer for me to use. It was fantastic! I teach English as a second language and use a program called ManyCam, which is CPU intensive and slowed down the computer I was using previously. Also, attempting to edit video was a nightmare. Now I can edit 4K video in Adobe Premiere while running the ManyCam program without lag or freezing. It cost less than $800 to build the entire computer.
(UPDATE! UPDATE! I've discovered the source of the problem. It is the fans, not the card, who are to blame. They aren't heat censored, so they work best when you're doing a lot of things at once; however, if you're not doing much and it's hot outside, they will lag and crash. br>br>Well, it was fine for the time being. That took around three months! Actually, I think it started happening about two months in, but it took me three months to realize it was the card; I thought it was my internet that was giving me blank screens and freezing, but it turns out it was this card; from reading a lot of the reviews, it appears that many people are having the same problem. I'm not sure if they know they're sending out duds or if they just have bad luck with them, but I feel like I got a rip off because it's only good for a few months and even then it wasn't the best. Was okay, but not the best. I would recommend buying something a little more expensive that will last you a lot longer, but if you're looking for a card that will last for a few months and then freeze, this is the I'm disappointed in MSI because their products are typically excellent, but this fell far short of my expectations. I only wish I had known this before purchasing it because I would have gladly paid twice as much for something that was far superior and would last far longer. I can't return it because it's been almost four months. I just wish they'd be honest about their products instead of taking advantage of people. It was a huge let down.
br>Also, new users, don't worry if your system shuts down after installation first boot up, don't worry It's fine; all you have to do now is install it and register it with the drives.
I wanted to boost the graphics performance of this system, but I didn't have the physical space or power requirements for a full-size GPU. After some research, I discovered that the GTX 1050 Ti has nearly identical performance to the GTX 1050. side performance with a GTX 960, no additional power connection required, and fits into SFF cases; I had 100% been sold! The installation was simple, and the results are fantastic! In a full multiplayer server, BattleField 4 runs at Ultra 1080p at 60 frames per second. Most other games run smoothly as well, and with a little tweaking of the graphics settings, they can easily reach 60 frames per second. This is the card to get if you want to improve the graphics performance of your SFF or HTPC.
I have no trouble playing Rust. If someone claims to have a better card, they are most likely attempting to deceive you. I highly recommend this card because it can handle anything I throw at it. Do your homework and then slap yourself for squandering your time, because this is the low-cost graphics card you've been looking for! And if you have a snotty-nosed kid in need of a better graphics card, THIS IS IT. IS. IT. br>br>Package arrived 1 week and 12 hours ahead of schedule with no issues.
The graphics card arrived 5 days earlier than expected, and I installed it right away to run my flight simulator. It was simple to set up. It took me about 20 minutes, and I'm not a techie in the least. I've only had my computer for two years, and I bought it specifically to play IL-76. The Battle of Stalingrad was the second major battle of the war. In that time, the game's developers have made significant improvements, and I discovered that the gtx 750ti that came with the computer was no longer capable of handling graphics load without a significant drop in frame rate. br>I was disappointed to find only a minor improvement after installing the gtx 1050 oc. After experimenting with a variety of game settings, I found that the lowest settings provided the most improvement. I requested a refund from the seller through Amazon. That occurred on a Friday. I watched a youtube video on how to over-eat over the weekend. Using the After-Clock, I'm able to keep track of my GPU. utility for a burner As a result, I no longer have any complaints about my current performance. br>On High graphics settings, I get incredibly sharp images and silky smooth gameplay. br>Today is Tuesday, and I received an email from PCH apologizing for the issues I described and offering to accept my return and issue a full refund right away. I highly recommend them because of their excellent return policy and service!.
I bought it because it said it would work in a HP ProDesk 600 in a previous review (there was only one at the time, thank you Fat Guy Beer Drinker), and it did! My computer is a ProDesk 800 with a 500GB DVDRW drive. 1TB and a 5in SSD 5in Hybrid SSHD and this card allowed me to play ARC and Mad Max on ultra settings after previously being unable to do so. Everything is powered by a standard 240W HP power supply.
