To be clear, only the STRIX cards necessitate the use of six cards. The others (phoenix, dual) don't need any power at all. It appears that Amazon has grouped all of these ASUS 1050ti graphics cards together, and they all have the same ratings and reviews.
I'm the only one with a single. It's a full-fledged fan version. I'm confident that the dual-height card will be useful. There's also a fan card.
There's not much difference between them. However, in the GTX 10 series, they discontinued analog output, so you'll need to use a vga to DisplayPort converter or a hdmi-compatible monitor or television!
I never put both options to the test - I went straight from a GTX 750Ti to a GTX 850 Ti. The 1050Ti is, in my opinion, the best gaming buy money can buy.

I'm not one to write many reviews, and I've only had this ASUS GTX 1050 Ti card for a few hours (purchased from Amazon), but I'm very happy with it. I spent several hours looking at several websites and dozens of the latest video cards before deciding on this one. br>I'd like to address this review to those of you who are similar to me as consumers. I built my desktop computer from the ground up six years ago, in 2011. It was a good gaming machine at the time, and it has remained so throughout the years. The fact that I spent a lot of money on two GTX 465s, each with 1GB of VRAM, is what makes this review so interesting. I used SLI to run those video cards and had good results. I've always been a fan of first-person shooters. Everything else you do with your computer will fall into place if you build a computer for gaming, in my experience. That's fine and dandy, but as time went on and newer games were released, my frame rates began to drop. I could make up for it by reverting the game's settings, which is fine with me. When it comes to bleeding-edge shooters, eye candy is nice, but frame rates are the difference between life and death. Until I purchased DOOM 4, the system served me well for years and many shooters. DOOM 4 is a fantastic game, but my frame rates were terrible, almost unplayable, even at the lowest of low settings, thanks to my aging SLI video cards. br>The second most important criterion for the new card I selected was that it had to have two DVI connectors, as I intend to use two LCD monitors. Video cards used to have two DVI connectors, but this is no longer the case. This ASUS card is unique in that it has two DVI ports, as well as an HDMI port and whatever the other connector is. br>When looking for a card, my third criterion is ease of use and installation speed. I'm older, I don't want to break the bank, I have a growing family, and I don't have the time to fight a computer upgrade. This ASUS graphics card did a fantastic job. I unplugged my old GTX 465s, plugged in this new GTX 1050 Ti, turned on the computer, and Windows 7 figured out what I needed and installed it in a matter of minutes. I then applied a quick NVIDIA driver update, and now this monster of a computer and video card can play DOOM4 on ultra settings without stuttering. The frame rates are astronomically high. The computer has become much quieter, and its power consumption has decreased significantly. br>I'm content.
I've been an ASUS customer for a long time until today's shoddy support for a dead graphics card; all I need is a simple RMA, which is impossible with these people. After being told that I had chosen the incorrect option, I was given a link that led nowhere. So, let's get back to the chat room. After a while, someone finally came on, and then the connection was broken. So I said fine, I'll try the online RMA and avoid the nonsense support, even though my serial number had already been used, according to the RMA form. AWESOME! So I give it another shot with the AMAZINGLY GARBAGE CHAT SUPPORT for the third time. THE FOLLOWING IS AN EXAMPLE OF THE DISCUSSION: Greetings! br>br> br>Give me a few moments to look over your request. br>Hello Brandon, My name is Shevon B. and I'd like to thank you for contacting Asus. Today, I'll be delighted to help you. br>Many thanks: ) This is the third time you've tried in the last 20 minutesbr>Is your graphics card broken? Yes, it has been failing at random times, but today half of my screen is blank. I removed it and replaced it with my old card, and everything appears to be in order. br>Thank you for confirming. br>I'm sorry to hear about the problem, and I'll be glad to help you further. That is why I am a big fan of ASUS: )br>So you're looking for an RMA for a graphics card?br>OK. br>Understood. br>After that, I'd recommend logging back in and selecting graphics card as the subject libne. So I'll have to try it a fourth time? br>You're right, but have you been choosing your graphics card? If that's the case, please inform me.
yeah. br>It's all right. br>Please accept my sincerest apologies. I'm not sure why you haven't received your graphics card. br>I even tried filling out the online form, but it said my serial number had already been used for an rma. br>br>Then I was told to just call the 1-800 number. A toll-free number is available. br>IT'S ALL DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY ARE GARBAGE. I ONLY REQUIRE AN RMA FOR A WARRANTY WORK CARD. I WILL NEVER BUY AN ASUS PRODUCT AGAIN! br>br>I WILL NEVER BUY AN ASUS PRODUCT AGAIN!.
So, based on price vs. performance, this is an excellent GPU for the money. br>Now you won't be able to play new games at 1080p with ultra settings and get 60 frames per second. However, I was well aware of this prior to entering the room. However, on medium/high settings, this card is a beast, especially when you consider that this GPU does not require a power source from the PSU because it draws all of its power from the mobo. br>br>Here are some personal goals that I set for myself: Far Cry Primal | High preset: br>br>Far Cry Primal | Medium preset: br>br>Far Cry Primal | Low preset: Rise of The Tombraider | High preset: 55 FPSbr>Rise of The Tombraider | 55 FPSbr> 65 br>Metro: 65 br>Metro: 65 br>Metro High preset | Last Light: (SSAA) SSAA PhysX disabled) 63. Build a PC on a budget. During the holidays, I was putting together a budget PC and found this card for a good price during the Black Friday sales. I knew it wasn't the best card, but it's been doing a good job of running games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 1080p on high, which is all I needed. I plan to upgrade to a 1070 or 1080 in the near future, but for now, I'm happy with what I got for the money. However, the price has risen dramatically since I purchased it, and I'm not sure I can still recommend it. It's debatable whether it's better to get a 1060 now or wait for prices to fall. Oh, and this video card doesn't need a power cable; simply plug it into a PCIe port and you're ready to go.
