Ensure that the screws are M3 in size. Since the fan I used can only be used diagonally across, and that it is slightly tilted in relation to the heat sink, I had to use two of them.
It is heat that is dissipating power, not power.

It is even possible to use your smartphone. The charger on my phone uses 25 watts. If I leave my phone alone to charge it gets a little warm, so maybe it's getting 25 watts. When charging the phone stays much cooler when I set two of these down on the screen. In addition to extending my phone's life, this will also extend its battery life.
A high aspect ratio and smooth extrusion are characteristics of this part. It is fortuitous that the base plate is reasonably flat and that the base material is thin enough to thread a screw into it.
The finned heat sink provides a large surface area for cooling, but there are no holes in it. There are no mounting holes and the fins prevent one from putting in nice holes for mounting a device. Four stars is all it gets, so it gets four.
On an ARM based Android head unit, I stuck it down with some artic thermal adhesive. Everything was just what I had hoped for in terms of size and quality. The event went without a hitch. Four bags for just one price is a good deal.
It helped to have decent sinks. There are a few points out of alignment and the edges are sharp so they don't look smooth. However, they work in reality.
I was not able to reduce the heat generated by my stepper motors using this device.
The manufacturing process is of good quality. I was impressed with the accuracy of specs and clean edges. It would not quite be sufficient to cool a peltier even with a heat dissipation fan and thermal compound, but it should be able to handle insufficient cooling loads.
