No, it's not the case. It's a shoddy knockoff that isn't very good. This product is a waste of money; I intend to replace mine with an official Fitbit charger.
I have a Fitbit 2 and it's fantastic. If you're using a Fitbit 3, it won't work.
My charger has three prongs, but I can't seem to locate one on Amazon? I'm looking for a Fitbit Charge 2 and can't seem to find any.
I'm undecided whether I'll buy the Amazon brand or something else.

As promised, the product arrived on time. br>Product functioned flawlessly for nine months before failing. I reached out to Awinner and explained the situation. br>The following day, Awinner contacted me and said they would replace the unit right away. br>I got the replacement and I'm very pleased with it. br>Excellent customer service!.
If I had the option, I would give this product 0 stars. The cord is significantly shorter than the one depicted in the photo. The length is only 6 inches. It is not securely attached to the Fitbit. I have to jiggle it, then it comes loose and won't charge when I put it down. It can take up to 5 minutes of jiggling before you realize it still isn't charging. It irritates and frustrates me. I'm going to go out and get a new charging cord because this one is useless. Conserve your funds.
The cord is fairly short; it works fine, but I usually charge my Fitbit from an outlet that is higher on the wall along my bathroom counter, and because of the length of the cord, it now simply hangs from the outlet while charging. My only gripe is that the packaging isn't very attractive. Otherwise, I'm pleased with my br>br>*UPDATE 12/5
br>I went to charge my Charge 2 the other night and when I came back for it a few minutes later, nothing had happened. It took a lot of finagling and just the right positioning to finally get it to start charging and keep doing so until the battery was fully charged. Who knows, maybe it's finally time to get rid of my Fitbit and replace it with a new one. It was given to me for Christmas, and I purchased it because the original had (literally) broken. It was behaving similarly; normally, when the Charge 2 is turned on, it makes a vibratey boop to indicate that it is charging, and the charging battery is displayed on the screen. There was no connection until I tinkered and readjusted, so I let go until it was full. The next time, one of the clips snapped. This would explain why I had a bad charging connection before, so I ordered it. br>br>When it wouldn't connect to the new one the other day, I had to drape the Fitbit over a lotion bottle on the bathroom counter to keep it from hanging from the outlet, which it did because the cord is only about 8" (I'm not sure but it's short). I'm hoping that's why it didn't charge the first time, so I'll try plugging it into an outlet where it can sit on a flat surface to see if that helps.
My mother misplaced her original Fitbit Charge 2 charger, so I bought one for her on this site. It charges quickly and clips in the same place as the original Charge 2 charger. The only difference she mentioned was that her watch does not stay charged for the five days like her original charger did, but she was just happy to have a charger again at a reasonable price. You can also travel with this if you plug it into your car's usb port and charge it there. It's very light weight and works great for the price; you can't beat it. I gave it four stars because it didn't stay charged as long as it should with this charger, but honestly, you can't beat it for the price.
It's easy for it to disconnect from the Fitbit, so keep an eye on it while charging. If I had known it would fit so poorly, I would have purchased a different charger from a different seller.
It took a lot of finagling to get it to charge right out of the box, and if you even breathe on it, it will stop charging and you'll have to start over. br>br>In the past, I've bought generic chargers that worked for a few months before degrading to this point. This one was nearly useless from the start, and the only reason I say almost is because you CAN get it to charge if you jiggle it around for five minutes and then set it down VERY carefully, but it'll still take over five hours for half a charge.
However, you'll hear the same click when it's attached properly. I haven't tried connecting it to a computer yet, but it works perfectly when plugged into a USB port in the wall. This is a great charger to have on hand, whether you need a replacement or an extra to throw in your briefcase or purse.
While on vacation, we misplaced our charger, so I ordered a replacement right away. As promised, the charger arrived in just two days. We were able to connect to the Fitbit without any issues. We are extremely pleased with our results. This is a seller we recommend.
