How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

FIFTY FEET (15.25 METERS) 2m) / 14 GAUGE SPEAKER WIRE - The lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire, and the less resistance to current flow it presents.
TINNED OXYGEN-FREE COPPER (OFC) - Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) wiring is a better electrical conductor than aluminum because it does not expand or contract with heat and can carry a higher current load. To keep the copper from corroding, this wire has a thin tin coating on it.
RUGGED PVC JACKET - Allows for free, wide, and seamless adjustment of the wire's required physical properties like flexibility, elasticity, and impact resistance.
EASY POLARITY IDENTIFICATION - The positive () polarity is indicated by a silver stripe on one side of this single-color jacket. Your audio equipment may be harmed if you make a polarity mistake.
HEAVY DUTY JACKET - Our cable's jacket is made specifically for installers. This jacket's flexibility and low memory make it easy to route.

Questions & Answers

Is this wire able to be submerged in water?

I'm assuming it's waterproof because it's designed for marine use. Outside, under my patio cover, I have it set up.

Is it possible to use a kabeldirekt banana plug – 11? On this speaker wire, are there 16 awg connectors?

That shouldn't be an issue as long as you keep them dry. Otherwise, shrink tubbing with a little dielectric grease will suffice.

What country does it come from?

The label on the roll I have reads, "Made in China."

It is simple to use
5/5

It's a fantastic speaker wire that solders easily and quickly. Before I connected it to my speaker terminals, I tinned the strands with rosin core solder and rosin paste flux, and it's a breeze to work with. Because it was wound on the spool too tightly, I had to fight it to get it to flatten out. Another issue is that the spool appears to be about 8 or 9 feet short.

Everything is in order
5/5

To increase the distance between our outdoor speakers, we used this. It worked flawlessly, was incredibly simple to set up, and the sound from both speakers was excellent.

FOR THE PRICE, THIS IS A GOOD WIRE
5/5

I don't have to be concerned about oxidation because it's tinned copper. It has a high popularity rating, and I believe it is well worth the money. The insulation is good, and you know that the polarization is marked on one side, so there's no risk of wiring being out of phase. I felt good about it.

Great wire for a boat, but tore when pealing apart
4/5

Reason for a four star rating is that when splitting the wire for a boat, it tore. One of the wires' casings split open, exposing exposed wire, which was eventually sealed with shrink tubing. Simply take care when ripping the two wires apart, or use a razor blade.
