Despite the fact that this is referred to as "speaker wire," it can be used for a variety of other purposes. Limitations on speaker use: If it's properly wired to the AC plug and device being powered, it can be used as an AC power cord wire (though it's not recommended) if the current drawn by the device is relatively low. The 14 gauge conductors, however, can handle AC power voltages such as 110/220 AC voltages and moderate to even heavy currents, but the insulation may not be rated for power cord use. I wouldn't use this wire for power cords or other high-voltage applications because heavy current draw can cause conductor heating, which can cause the flexible rubber insulation to melt, posing a serious electrical and fire hazard.
It doesn't say it's of course, so I'm guessing it's not. It appears to be good wire up to 1500 rms, but when I ran it through my sub amp sundown sat 3500 in a one ohm load, it became blackened.
Sufficiency increases with the size of the wire.

It's always better to have more. Because I am constantly upgrading and expanding my home theater system, I suppose you could call me an audiophile. I recently bought a Pioneer Elite VSX-1000. LX302 7. For my second home theater set-up, I purchased a Channel Network A/V Receiver. (It was previously in the living room and is now in the family room. ) I wanted the set to have a very professional look to it. (ie. There will be no more visible wires tacked up in the corners, etc. ) The thicker the wire, the lower the resistance in electronic terms. Over longer strands of wires, this translates to better sound quality and more power. (Imagine you're breathing through a straw or a PVC pipe. ) That's all there is to it. ) The wire was double-boxed and heavy when it arrived. The weight of the spool was ten pounds. 6 lbs. The wire texture is soft and moderately flexible, which is ideal. Each strand is made up of several smaller strands, and each of my 100w speakers received plenty of power. Running each strand through my wall, up to the attic, and down to each of my four surround sound speakers was actually quite simple. Depending on your individual circumstances, This size and type of wire is a must for up and wattage needs; you can pay 2 to 3 times as much for pure copper, but you're not likely to hear the difference, so why pay for it? I bought a 500-piece set. I purchased a foot spool because I intend to replace the old 18 gauge wiring in my living room and wanted to have extra. Even with my led flashlight in my attic, the color coding is very useful and easy to see. At the end of the day, I'm quite pleased with my new 7. The sound of two systems is fantastic! I really like the Dolby Atmos option, which gives me a true surround sound experience. Once you've taken two measurements, you're ready to cut. This was a wise investment on my part, and I have no regrets.
It's fine for car/home speakers, and it's nicely jacketed and easy to work with, but I'm not a fan of CCA wire because of its low copper content, and I wouldn't use it on a large amp driving a low-impedance sub (in other words, a high-impedance sub). I wish I had read the fine print a little more carefully (current load), but mids and highs will be fine. I wish I had read the fine print a little more carefully (current load).
I was able to get by with this spool of 14g speaker wire. It made it easier for me to move my home theater system from one room to another without having to run wire through the attic or down walls. Sure, with the advent of wireless speakers and other technology, running speakers may seem a little archaic these days, but I'm old school. as if he were a doddering old man - and can't afford to keep up with the Joneses when it comes to technology As a result, I'm content with what I've got. Regardless, I don't think this is solid copper wire (seller/manufacturer). Please correct me if I'm wrong) - When I used it for this application, however, it worked well and was a financially sound move for me (pun intended). The system sounds as good as it did with the same AWG, solid copper wire that was installed in the home when I bought it 20 years ago after I moved my components using this wire. br>br>The bottom line is that this is a good price for wire that does its job well. If I needed something else, I'd buy it again.
I've made cables ranging in length from 50 feet to 200 feet. This wire is extremely flexible, with very little signal loss. I couldn't have asked for a more excellent product.
I should've paid more attention to the description. This was purchased for the purpose of wiring my home theater system. I went to solder the wires to the speaker connector posts after the electrician finished wiring and realized I had wasted money on this product. ,br>: (

This wire had almost completely disintegrated. I installed a few speakers around my pool area and have had to replace them on several occasions. In just a few days, any exposed wire would corrode.
A good quality roll of speaker wire, not quite as good as on stage, but plenty for a home theater or sound system. It's something I'd definitely buy again for the rest of the house. br>.
Others have stated that it is the best speaker wire they have ever used. It was recommended to me, so I bought it. More wire than you might think is used in a sophisticated home theater setup. I'm glad I was able to find this in bulk for such a low price; it was ideal for my project.
