So there you have it. I can tell you about my own personal experience with it. I have two in my race/street car, one of which is the primary power supply from the battery and also feeds the starter. It also receives the alternator charger and has performed admirably.
I use it to drive a 30 roadster and it works great.
These bus bars are in metric measurements. The large screws are M6 and the small screws are M3.
Yes, I did use it as a bus simulator indoors. With the cover in place, there is a bar for terminal connection. My total amperage was over 60 AMP 380VAC.

Overall, I like this bus bar; after all, it's hard to go wrong with metal and screws, but there are a few key features that make it worthwhile to purchase, as well as a few features I would change if I had the choice. br>br>Advantages- br>Multiple terminals can be securely installed using the stagering of screws and spacing. br>br>The cutouts on the sides are large enough to accommodate even my larger terminals, but I'm not concerned about shorting anything or dropping something in the bar. The offset terminals will fit in either direction because the main poles have a nut on top and bottom that spaces the terminal closer to the center of the opening. br>br>The plastic has a good feel to it and appears to be as durable as I would expect. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. br>br>I'd like to see a flanged nut on the main poles, just to give the ring terminals more electrical contact. Some may have even included copper washers between the nuts for the lock washer to press against instead of the terminal itself. br>br>I'd like to be able to have the cover open on only one side. Connections come out the bottom for horizontal mounting. Perhaps perforated knockouts, but only in an ideal world, as this would degrade the cover's quality. br>br>Overall, I enjoy the product; however, I also enjoy nitpicking and fantasizing.
I'm making a camper van out of a Promaster Hightop, and I needed these to power it. I honestly didn't think they'd hold up, but they were well built when they arrived, and they've held up to the abuse I gave them during installation. They make it possible for me to keep my wires neat and tidy. I'll be buying from them again!.
The remote turn-on for multiple amplifiers was attached to this bus bar. I used a relay to power this bus bar after connecting the remote turn-on lead from my head unit to it. Then I connected each amplifier to this bus bar with wires. It performs admirably.
In my pickup, I have a lot of electrical accessories, so I recently moved them all to an auxiliary battery that is connected to these bus bars. They're great because they keep me from stacking ring terminals on battery terminals and help me keep my wiring more organized. I have a CB radio, a 65 watt VHF radio, exterior lighting, extra interior cigarette lighter and USB ports, and a small 12 volt refrigerator. I wish someone would make these with fuse slots next to each terminal so I wouldn't have to use inline fuses. br>br>.
For testing and comparison, I purchased this block as well as another brand. This block was chosen because it has:br>1 Easier mounting,br>2 A quality cover to insulate the powered posts,br>3 Three large ring posts for larger current capacity distribution,br>4 Many small ring terminals for other small load devices,br>5 Easy cover removal,br>6 Plenty of room with the cover installed to run wires in multiple directions. br>br>I enjoy this product and will purchase it again.
These terminal blocks are well-made and extremely versatile, with three 1/4" posts for large cable (6-foot) and three 1/4" posts for small cable (6-foot). 10) as well as a number of posts for 12-year-olds. Connectors with a 16-gauge gauge. Many of my racecar's accessories were powered directly from the battery's plus and minus terminals. So far, this has been a fantastic product.
This distribution block was ideal for connecting the ground from my UTV's accessory wiring. The cover gives you peace of mind by protecting the connections while also looking good. Everything was of good quality, and I was able to tighten everything without stripping the screw heads or threads.
