That is something I would never do. The power of the radio is inadequate. Rather than bass blockers, you should get bass blockers.

I put off doing a review for a while. 2- These are very nice. crossovers in both directions The terminals are extremely tiny. As a result, when installing, be cautious of the fork terminal crimps. This is being used in a 1985 Optimus 10" speaker system that has been modified. The old wiring was ripped out, the woofer/tweeter was replaced, and this was added. Realistic used low-cost materials in their speakers, which eventually wore out (caps).
When I bought this crossover, I had no idea how good it could sound. To separate the highs and lows, I wired it up with four inch subs and two inch mid/tweeters. I was blown away! For a better bass sound, the subs should be boxed in. This setup will be used in a custom 1930's radio that I'm building. Keep an eye out for updates.
The doors have boat speakers, and the ceiling has tweeters. It performs exactly as expected; my only criticism is that there is no way to reduce the highs if necessary.
This item was functional for about a month before it melted! It's still working, so it's a tough one! Perhaps I'm exaggerating a little. supplying it with energy.

When I combined these with an amp, my tweeters became incredibly clean and clear, with no distortion at all. There won't be any fluffy penguins here!.
These aren't bad, Randy, but you do lose wattage. I finally decided to invest in bass blockers.
