When I bought my portable DVD player, it came highly recommended. It really appeals to me. It functions admirably. The side band covers the power port, which I like because it prevents it from falling out when I plug it in and cover it with the retainer band. It was a perfect fit for my baby in the backseat of my 2015 Equinox. Love it.

5 months after the date of purchase Update: On the 4th of August, 2019, as we were getting into the car to return home, The DVD player began to take an unusually long time to load the video. In fact, before loading the DVD, it appeared to be stuck on the first screen. So on August 5, 2019, we brought it into the house and experimented with various DVDs, including one that was brand new. There has been no improvement. It appears that the device has simply ceased to function. It's infuriating because this wasn't cheap and now doesn't work, and my daughter dislikes riding in the car. Other options are being consideredbr>Previous review: br>br>When my daughter was younger, she despised being in the car. And, while I didn't want to give in to screen time, it was a better alternative than handing her my phone while driving. br>I'm still not happy with it. I've given in to screen time, but only in the car and for educational videos. br>The remote is simple to use, and the setup was simple.

It works well in a variety of cars that I've used it in. The only drawback, if you want to call it that, is that one of the little straps on the side covers the power outlet on the player when inserted, but I haven't had any problems with it bouncing around. It's not a big deal because it's pretty flexible, and you can pull it down a little to connect the power cord to the device; I'd recommend it. It's perfect for use with the DBPOWER 10. 5 device!.

For years, we enjoyed an older version of the DBPower portable DVD player. So, we were planning another road trip, and I decided that getting a headrest mount holder for our car would be more enjoyable for our daughter because it would sit on her lap. I purchased this along with a newer DVD player. It was very simple to put on the headrest, and it had places for the cords to exit. For flights and road trips, this is a lifesaver. You won't have to worry about losing their attention due to a lack of internet access, and the movie will keep them engrossed for the duration of the film.

I have a Ford Escape, and the headrests are longer vertically, so I was concerned that the strap would not fit, but it does! It is very strong and does not budge.

It is extremely safe. Much better than straps and buckles on the mounts. My only issue is that it appears to tilt up, making it difficult to see the screen clearly.

I was concerned that the band would be too wide for the space between the bars holding the headrest, but it is flexible and fits perfectly, it is simple to use, and it performs admirably! The only disadvantage is that the controls are between the back of the screen and the player, so I have to squeeze my fingers in to push the buttons or slide it out to change movies. However, the benefits far outweigh the disadvantage.

It's fairly simple to install on your car's headrest. The only caveat is that you must either have your movie ready to watch or have a remote before placing the DVD player in the holder. But, for the most part, it's been adequate for holding the DVD player.
