I installed this sub in the back seat of my Jeep, facing the back of the vehicle, and I'm very pleased with it. Great bass, very loud, the smallest footprint, and the volume knob allows me to turn it down when I'm driving with normal people. The only disappointment was that when I was connecting the power, the plug allowed me to make contact in reverse, blowing my fuses and necessitating their replacement. To avoid damaging the equipment, I believe that a good plug should only allow for one connection. I do notice some roll off at the lowest frequencies, which is to be expected in a sealed enclosure. This speaker, in my opinion, is ideal for anyone who wants to hear deep bass without taking up too much space in their trunk. When I'm driving, this sub shakes my side mirrors, vibrates my pant legs, and causes a lot of vibration in my back. Outside of the car, it sounds fantastic. But, sorry, guys, if you want that nose-tingling ghetto bass to shake the car next to you, you'll have to push it a little harder. But, in my opinion, it's ideal for adding a nice sub to a factory sound system.
After I installed this little beast behind the seat of my single cab Silverado, the old 4X4 received a major audio upgrade. It took the place of a 12-year-old 8-inch Bazooka bass tube that had finally given up the ghost. (In that case, the cause of death was due to a minor flooding incident. ) ) I already had a set-up for power and ground. There was only an RCA cable left from the back of my head unit after this. There isn't any need for a remote control. In such a small space, I'm sure I went a little crazy with this unit, but wow. Now the music is really good. I've been trying to dial in the sound of my other four speakers, which are powered by an amp, to match the bass. I'm pleased with my purchase and believe I received good value for my money.
I was blown away; we installed it in a 2004 Chevy Silverado single cab truck and it thumps hard; I bought it for some clean sounding bass and it's a solid mirror shaker.
I didn't think a subwoofer enclosed in a case would sound as good as one with an air port. I suppose it will be determined by the location. I've got mine in the back seat of my truck, and it sounds pretty good. It includes a bass controller, which is extremely useful while driving. I set it up next to my e-reader and mounted it. Because some songs have a different bass tone, I can change it instantly with the brake. This product would sound even better if I had an aftermarket stereo that allowed me to change the crossover, but I'm using a stock stereo in a 2019 Ford Ranger. If you only have a stock stereo, the bass controller serves as a crossover. The speaker comes with its own built-in amplifier.
This is what I installed in my 2007 Tundra, along with an Atoto A6 head unit. This subwoofer has a great sound with a nice clean bass. There isn't much space for a sub in the 2007 Tundra. There are other slim fit subs that would work, but I wanted to give the Rockford fosgate a try because I've always liked their products, and the placement in the pictures is the only way I could get it to fit. Because of the quick connects, the sub can easily be removed if the backseat is used for passengers. Two passengers can be accommodated, as shown in the illustration. The atoto a6 has a sub output that provides more bass than standard RCA connections. I really like the mix. This is a fantastic upgrade for an older truck!.
I have a 2002 Tundra with factory speakers and an Alpine CDE-II navigation system. The sound is incredible when using the 172 head unit with the RF 10". This old truck has been transformed into a modern-day banging machine that would outperform any factory-installed system in a vehicle today. I bought the box from RF directly through Amazon because there are so many resellers here, and I'm very happy with it. I've only got the gain set 1/3 of the way up, but the remote adjustable bass is fantastic and produces enough clear clean sound to run you out of the truck. To install, I bought a Scoche 8 gauge kit from here. I'm very pleased with my purchase in general.
Fits perfectly under the hood of my 2020 Ford F-150 crew cab. Also, much better than I expected in terms of sound and kick. I am overjoyed. It's also simple to use the bass knob. I had it professionally installed, so I'm not sure how simple it is to put together.
br>This was the final nail in the coffin! It was professionally installed for me. Running wires in a vehicle is not something I am very familiar with. I do have to adjust the bass on occasion, but it comes with a convenient adjustment that fits neatly into my dash. It's a good thing I didn't try to save money on this upgrade. The sound is fantastic! Now I want to upgrade my other speakers, but for the time being, it's perfect!.
