Questions & Answers
What year Durango are you using, and will they be installed in the front or back doors?
Yes, it will work with a GMC Sierra from the year 2001.
Yes, you can. I have this pair and another pair wired up to 2 ohms on my 4 channel amp, and they get around 150 watts if not a little more, and they sound fantastic. Just be aware of your radio's distortion and clipping.

The best bang for your buck can be found here. These speakers have insanely loud and clear tweeters. With these, you won't even need a separate set of tweeters. To replace the factory speakers, I ordered four of them. I didn't use an amp; instead, I just added them to the factory setup, and they sound fantastic. I can only imagine how much better the sound would be with a small amplifier.
For a 2006 four door tundra, 5 speakers to replace the factory speakers. Three weeks ago, I installed the speakers. They appear to be incredible! The bass is rich and distinct, and the treble is crisp and distinct. I would highly recommend the speakers because they far exceeded my expectations.
I installed two of these in the front doors of a 2001 Chevy 1500, as well as two Skar TX46s in the back half doors, and was blown away by the sound quality. They're incredibly loud and distinct. It's punchy without being muddy, even without a subwoofer. These speakers don't require any additional tweeters or an amplifier. They're perfect as they are. Other speakers that are more expensive and do not sound as good as these have been heard. These are a no-brainer in my book at around $50 for a pair. I'd be happy with these even if they cost twice as much. I doubt you'll find a better sounding speaker for the money; for around $100, I completely transformed the sound of my audio system.
I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they have even improved the sound quality. In terms of sound quality, I believe the Polk MM series is a comparable name brand speaker. Try them out for yourself and see what you think. They can easily handle an amp, and it will actually brighten them up!.
Before these, I had best buy pioneer speakers, which were fine, but I wanted more mid bass, so I got these. With my head unit set to the same settings as the pioneer speakers, two of these scar speakers blew up within the first week. Because the subwoofer line is so good, I was expecting more.
a good product I replaced my factory ones (in my 2016 Honda Accord Sport) because they sounded too low with no highs now that I have Skar Audio pretty much everywhere in my car. I switched them to these, and let me tell you, I HEAR EVERYTHING, and they sound incredible. They're well worth the money, and I'll be buying more from them in the future. They subs, OFC amp kit, amp, and box are all already in my possession. I wholeheartedly support the movement and the high quality of the product; I adore it.
Because of their fit, they receive a three-star rating. They were a little too long for the rear deck of a 2010 Honda Civic. They smashed the trunk torsion springs that keep the trunk open, and the speaker plug-ins were large enough to hit the deck and front doors, even on the step-out mounts. The rear deck had to be trimmed, and the front doors' speakers had to be slightly turned and new holes drilled in the mounts to make them fit. They sound fine without an amp; when the amp arrives, I'll install it and update the sound.
I put four of these in my Nissan Rogue, which is powered by a JBL Stage A6004 subwoofer. They sounded great right away, but be careful how you drive them. I decided to run them at a lower power level for a few weeks, only using 70 watts RMS, and they performed admirably until one day both front tweeters failed and the woofers began to crackle. Although these are rated for 100 watts RMS, I would only use 60 watts RMS to get the best results. I gave up on these and replaced them with high-powered ds18 mids and super tweeters.
