My only gripe is that these things are so loud that they overpower my door speakers to the point where I can't turn the volume up high enough to hear any bass from the 6x9s in the door without bleeding.

These speakers are incredible in terms of quality and sound! I bought the GX Series 6x9s from Best Buy for my 2006 Dodge stratus, but I discovered that I could fit 3 1/2s in the front deck, so I had to use the same series, so there are four GX Series 6x9s and two GX 3 1/2s in the trunk. It sounds fantastic all around! Definitely the best car audio system I've ever had. And believe me when I say that these tiny speakers made all the difference! You should definitely give these a shot. br>br>(NOT FOR BASS!.

I tried five different ones just to compare, and these are the best in this tube. Although the photo shows duct tape, it was only used until the silicon had dried.

These 3. The 5" dash speakers are designed to complement your other front speakers rather than provide a lot of bass. These work well in low- to medium-volume environments. When the bass hits at a higher volume, some distortion occurs, which can be tuned out using the bass settings on your head unit. Because I only have these dash speakers and no door speakers, I'm already making them do double duty, and I'm still pleased with the sound. My Cerwin Vega speakers had a little more bass, but these are more crisp and loud. If I get door speakers and let these handle the hi's, I might get bass blockers in the future.

i had kicker speakers in the dash and they were terrible, always crackling or poppingbr>- I just got them today and installed them in the wranglerbr> These NEW and great looking jbl were 20 x better at handling the sound and did not crackle like the kickers - I was fooled by the ad and just left them in the dashbr> I thought I purchased a kicker with higher rms, but I was fooled by the ad and just left them in the dashbr> These little speakers sounded sooooo much better than the kickers and made me very happy. Of course, I ran a cap to block unwanted lows, but these little speakers sounded sooooo much better than the kickers and made me very happy. Unlike the kickers I had, the sound was crisp, clear, and not muffled.

The system in my 2010 Miata Grand Touring was greatly enhanced by these speakers. I'd recently installed an amplified subwoofer, and the 8" speakers in the doors were lacking in mids and highs. These speakers have a good amount of clarity and added a lot to the mid and higher frequencies.
