It is a gorgeous display
5/5

I really like how the head unit looks with its glass screen. In the sun it is so easy to see the colors because they are so saturated. Unlike a lot of other cables, it leaves a lot of space behind it for wiring. There is a glitch in the built in Alexa, as it does not allow me to enter apps via drop-in It is really good to hear the audio My favorite thing about Pioneers is their

On the other hand, the poor design of the volume and capacitive buttons almost made me dock one star. It boggles my mind why anyone would want to get rid of physical buttons, especially ones that work well. Thankfully, I was able to use my physical button without delay thanks to my steering wheel controls However, there is a small lag on the screen's buttons, and this is so frustrating when cranking up my subwoofers and not being able to control the volume up and down quickly. There is an iOS app for designing a screen layout and such that is really cool, and firmware updates are simple and to the point. I had no trouble with the app except the instructions were not very good, but I figured it out without opening a manual, so I suppose that's intuitive. There is no doubt that the customization of this head unit is superb. When it comes to everything, I usually only use carplay Although it would be nice to have the option of using my phone's hotspot to check the news, sports, alexa, etc. as opposed to.

This receiver supports wireless carplay and is great for multimedia listening! My WRX is now even better with this addition! I
5/5

About us In the last few days, I have self-published My 2017 Subaru WRX came with the basic factory sound system that this Pioneer multimedia receiver was designed to work with. After my IDatalink Maestro RR unit was added to the steering wheel, I maintained all my steering wheel controls and rearview camera. In spite of the complicated installation, which took several hours, I was still able to keep my steering wheel controls and rearview camera. I listed the following parts in my list Here's how. An innovator in mental health care A W4660NEX
2 model. The Metra AX-1000 3 USB Adapters - SUBUSB2 The Scosche SU2031B Double Din Kit from 4. A Metra 40-mile line 5 Antenna Adapter* for the LX11 Antenna. Interface Module iDatalink Maestro RR versions 6 and 7. A HRN that is powered by iDatalink A SU2 Interface Harness is available. A positive state Connectors with a twist

Just the addition of the new receiver has significantly improved the sound, despite not having any additional speakers/subwoofers. In addition to the addition of power to the speakers by the Pioneer head unit, the equalizer has been improved as well. I feel like I'm driving a brand new car when I use the Apple Carplay feature! There won't be a miss for the lack of a disk slot, I'm sure. While it would be nice to have a volume knob, adding one to the unit would be not only unnecessary, but it would also significantly detract from the unit's aesthetics. I was pleasantly surprised to find the steering wheel controls to be accurate. The Carplay upgrade is one of the best upgrades for any car without it!.

The cake isn't quite baked yet It is still buggy with the wireless AA
3/5

In addition to this head unit's improved wireless capabilities and compact size, I was drawn to it by its improved Android Auto support. I was able to install the unit in my Jeep Renegade with a better install kit as it has such a shallow depth so that I didn't have to cut up a bunch of plastic inside the vehicle to get an authentic look. Installing the unit was an absolute breeze since it supports the iDatalink Maestro I already had. Despite that, however. It seems like Android Auto is the first phone that starts up immediately and completely on its own (dammit Kenwood, can't you offer that in from here on, it's kind of buggy. I decided to start off by pointing out the problem with Android Auto's colors being washed out due to the brightness being excessive. Since this behavior is not occurring in my Kenwood DDX9905S, but only in this Pioneer head unit, it is not an Android Auto issue or something on the phone. The head unit is the problem. The second issue is that if wireless Android Auto is the first audio source to start on the unit, it will not play any sound. Typically, you would begin by starting a source like Aux, HD Radio, local media, or even USB Obviously, because the unit is based on Android Auto, it will play without any issues. Because the unit is based on Android Auto, "Wifi Audio" shouldn't be the first source to play. It does not make sound until another source is engaged, even menu button beeps. The technician on the other end of the line suggested I wipe the unit and try again when I contacted Pioneer support. Upon discovering that it did not work, I was informed that it was still in its return period and it was probably a dud, so I should return it and get another unit. After I followed their instructions, I went out and got another unit, and I prepared A similar result was obtained. Despite the fact that it may not be a dud, it looks like it is a dud on purpose. In the future, they should provide a firmware update to resolve this issue since, as it stands right now, it's a real pain to use. The 17th) There was a new firmware version recently released for the OLED Update 31) is supposed to address Wireless Android Auto connectivity issues. It went in cleanly through the app, but has not addressed the problems I personally encounter and list As of now, Android Auto (bluetooth as well) takes a long time to connect on its own and remains unstable.
