Excellent sound quality, features, and price! Alpine products have always appealed to me
5/5

Sound quality has always been excellent, and it appears that it will continue to compete with newer technology from competitors years after it is released. Alpine has always been a good choice if you want great sound quality, but it can be pricey. br>However, this unit surprised me. The sound quality is excellent, as one would expect from a brand that I've grown to admire. But it's the features for the price that piques my interest. I have a bluetooth stereo system in my car for the first time in my life, and I'm so spoiled that I can't imagine going back! The pairing process was simple and quick, and I no longer need to use my phone. When I get in the truck and start driving, it detects my iPhone and automatically begins playing whatever music I was listening to the previous time, even if Spotify is closed. There's no need for an auxiliary cable anymore! The alternator is no longer whining!! I can charge my phone and listen to music at the same time without being interrupted, which is a truly wonderful gift. Bluetooth, thank you very much! It's almost too good to be true at this price point, too. This will also go into my other truck when I get it back on the road. br>Those without bluetooth or who don't like the automatic playback idea (I'm sure there's a setting you can change, but I like it so I didn't look), this has an aux and USB input, as well as the option to buy satellite radio and use it as a receiver. For those with a more advanced setup with amplifiers and subwoofers, there are plenty of inputs and outputs in the back. You can change the color of the display and the text for those of you who like to personalize things. Another great feature is blackout, which prevents you from being blinded late at night by the head unit's lighting. br>I would highly recommend this unit for your vehicle; I've had nothing but positive experiences with mine so far!.

Excellent value for money
5/5

My wife had an older Alpine stereo that lacked Bluetooth functionality. Because this unit had the same connector as her old one, I simply slid the old one out and slid the new one in. It's simple and enjoyable. Then it was just a matter of running the microphone wire behind the dash and up the pillar to her visor. In a half-hour, I was done. The sound quality is excellent. Granted, this won't make the car next to you's windows vibrate, but the sound quality is still good if you like your music loud. With an Android phone and Spotify connected via Bluetooth, you can use the stereo to skip forward and back in time. I like that the USB port can also be used as a charging port; however, because we don't use Sirius or Pandora, I can't comment on those features. It's great to have the song titles and artist info on the radio. The interface takes a little getting used to, but it becomes second nature after a while, and the phone interface is fantastic. Call clarity is good, but it depends on the type of road noise your vehicle makes and how fast you're driving. I noticed that if the microphone was too close to the window, it made swishing noises on my end, so I moved the mic over a little and pointed it inwards, which greatly improved the situation. My only gripe is that the mic clip has a limit on how thick of a visor it can attach to. When I tried to put it on a thicker part of the visor, it broke. I didn't like the microphone being mounted on the steering wheel, but it may be better in terms of road noise, and it's a great stereo for the money.

This is a fantastic upgrade from the stock model
5/5

For my Integra, I wanted something simple that had Bluetooth, USB, and AUX input. There are a lot of brands out there, and I had a hard time deciding which one I wanted. I looked at a few sites for reviews and this one seemed to fit the bill with a reasonable price and above-average user feedback. I had to choose between Pioneer, Sony, and Alpine because I'd always wanted an Alpine and had already purchased Alpine speakers from this store, so I wanted everything to match. It works, and I only have one minor complaint. There are a lot of other units with more features, but all I needed was something to connect to my phone and output good audio. It's fine on its own; there's no need to add anything
3/5

One of these was ordered and installed in a 1999 Chevy K1500. A subwoofer/amp combo was also ordered. Except for the rca output to the subwoofer, which produced, the head unit performed admirably. 01- My amp's auto start feature was powered by 02 volts instead of the advertised 4 volts. Alpine was contacted, but no assistance was provided for a unit that was identical. The problem is the same.

The head unit is excellent for the price
5/5

Even though the factory stereo worked fine for local radio, it was time to upgrade to BT. I was fed up with other drivers using their FM broadcasters to listen to podcasts or iTunes on the morning and evening commuter lines. This budget system has excellent sound, and I prefer a small screen with buttons to the modern giant touch-screen systems. In bright daylight, the screen loses all contrast, and at night, it becomes blinding. Although learning all of the functions and how to access them through the menu system takes some time, kudos to the engineers for cramming so much functionality into such a small unit. I am a very happy customer!.

Don't throw your money away
3/5

The presentation is attractive and easy to see. This head unit was installed in my boat by me. The boat came with an old Jensen radio, which I used. It is a model from the year 2008. I had two Rockford Fosgate speakers and a Rockford Fosgate amplifier installed. That sounded fantastic. The display and bluetooth capabilities of the newer units were the only reasons I wanted to replace the head unit. I'd also placed an order for two more Rockford speakers to be installed. I got the Alpine and was waiting for the speakers to arrive at the same time; needless to say, the Alpine was a disappointment. It sounded terrible. I understand it isn't a $600 unit, but damn. I'm unable to return it because I waited so long to install it. At the range, I guess I'll need a new target. Junk I can't believe Alpine would put their name on something like this. It sounds like a Walmart deal for $30.
