I assigned the number 6 to the boss. In my Stratos, I have 5" speakers. I've had this setup for a little over a year and it's working perfectly.
It is powered by a 12V DC battery.
It is no longer available at a reduced price. Thank you very much.

I installed it in a crawl space vent that I covered with sheet metal and cut a 3" hole in. It comes with a rubber cover that I like to use when it's not in use, and the sound quality appears to be quite good. Note: I'm running this through a marine 400w amp with low level outs, and I only have two complaints right now. First, the menu is a little tricky to navigate until you get used to it. Second, and most importantly, when I change sources, the levels are drastically different. I'll have BT on at volume 20 with my phone cranked up, and when I switch to FM, it'll be at least four times the volume, so I'll have to turn it down to about 7 or 8. I'll post an update once I've had a chance to use it for a few seasons, assuming it holds up.
I don't need or use all of the features. Simple to work with. It's a perfect match for your blue tooth. With the Boss speakers, it sounds fantastic. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. br>This could be a user issue, but the bluetooth setting requires a lot of volume. If you don't remember to turn it down when you return to radio, the entire river will hear you. Even though it comes with a cover, it does not stay on the boat when trailered. I've had it fall off every time, and it's been a stroke of luck that the cover always gets caught in the same spot as I'm driving down the highway at 70 miles per hour. It would be better if the cover was made of plastic and had a positive grip when installed. br>br>For the money, this is a great unit!.
Oh, the glory days of adolescent rock'n'roll. In my 21' bass boat, I installed this one with four Pyle 6" speakers, and the sound quality is excellent, in my opinion. I spent less than $200 on the system and am very pleased with the ease of installation, function controls, and connectivity, as well as the overall sound quality. After hearing it, a friend of mine has decided to put one in his boat. br>br>After a month or so, and several trips out on the boat, I'm still very happy. The sound is clear and strong, and it quickly connects to my phone via Bluetooth. 100% satisfied for the price. Bought and returned an amp because’I didn’t feel like I needed it. I hope this has been of assistance.
I chose this one after conducting extensive research. I had to get creative and make a bezel, but it looks and feels right at home! This is a lovely little radio with a lot of useful features. The sound quality is excellent, and there is enough power to get the volume to where I need it. This little Boss has made my life so much easier!.
This thing sounds fantastic when combined with an amplifier, a pair of 6x9 speakers, and a 10" sub. Bluetooth audio from cell phones can be input, and the interface is fairly simple. Although I'm not sure it has enough power to drive speakers directly, the audio is clear when properly routed through an amplifier. (Setting line levels to appropriate voltages, etc. )br>br>Hasn't been rained on yet, but has been sprayed, and it appears to be in good working order; wasn't aware that the mounting hole for the square model would be round. It was no big deal to improvise a bracket.
I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I took my time installing everything properly. I was aware of potential sources of electronic interference and routed the cables with caution. The four corner screws (which I replaced with all-purpose screws) were used. stainless) in order to achieve a watertight seal. The water and solar exposure are reduced by mounting the unit vertically. Things seemed to work fine on the first trip, but I noticed that using higher volumes resulted in random shutdowns. I was prepared to put up with a few quirks because this was (by far) the least expensive option for a receiver, but then, on the second time out on the water, the Bluetooth began to fade in and out (the phone was 12" above the unit) and then finally stopped (it sounded like a weak FM station as it quit). I've read several reviews warning of such issues and have decided to give up. Before my 30-day trial period expires, I'm going to spend the money on a good brand with good reviews. I'm sorry, Boss, but I'm leaving!.
So far, it's been exposed to water, rain, and mud, with no problems with the buttons or functions. The only issue is that the Bluetooth volume output is significantly lower than that of the FM tuner. br>br> To get more volume out of the bluetooth connection on my Android, I had to enter developer mode and change the way bluetooth volume works. The audio quality of the aux input, on the other hand, is superior to that of the bluetooth connection. I tried forcing better bluetooth codecs, such as aptx, but it appears that this receiver does not support them. Something with which I can live.
This radio was purchased for my boat so that I could also have NOAA weather radio. It doesn't have a weather radio from the National Weather Service. The title expresses this clearly. It's a big, bulky object. The sound quality is average at best, and only time will tell if it is truly waterproof as claimed.
