GoPro MAX (HR) and its Pros, Cons, and Oks
4/5

The pros are • The camera has a solid build, a very compact design and a soft rubberized body. It also has a unique design in that it has two cameras (front and back) in one machine. The back of the camera is in the grip of our fingers. This allows you to use GoPro tripods, helmet mounts, and selfie sticks without having to exclusively use GoPro equipment. You can purchase anything from Amazon or AliExpress for $10-$20 You can buy a camera set for $20. The fact that GoPro did this is very much appreciated. • The 360 degree action camera might seem trippy at first, but it does work A cool thing about this is that you don't have to wear a VR headset to see if your shot worked out okay. GoPro's app will allow you to view your shot from all angles with one sweep of the screen. The editing for a 360 camera does take some time to get used to, but the app is invaluable. A great app for GoPro is available on the Play Store. On the app, you can see the videos you have taken (including your 360 shots) and the app will transfer them to your smartphone from there. I'm super quick at It allows you to edit videos, create clips, share clips with friends, reframe clips with other sources, establish keyframes, and even perform color correction. My overall impression was that this was one of the most approachable systems I've come across. Due to its software, you can even use this GoPro to film yourself eating a banana in highly dynamic fashion. There is a GoPro app for PC and Mac if you don't want to edit your video with your phone. In my opinion, this is the better choice since you can control a computer with a mouse rather than with your hands. Moreover, you can not only select between four digital lenses (13mm, 16mm, 19mm, and 27mm) before shooting but you can also change the bitrate, shutter speed, white balance, exposure, and so on even before beginning to shoot. For those who don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on Adobe's editing software, this is a great alternative. My favorite mode in Reframe is something I use constantly. With this mode, you are able to point the video at the action you want to focus on and it will automatically adjust the video's focal point as needed. My father taught me this feature when he was mountain biking, and I used it when I film myself. The focal point can be adjusted to prevent blurry shots most of the time. We are very happy about • In terms of stabilization, it is more impressive than you might have expected. They call it "HyperSmooth Stabilization," and the camera detects the orientation because it has "Horizon leveling. " A GoPro keeps a good amount of smoothness even when on a rocky trail while riding a bike. I understand that the stabilization will be different depending on the sport/activity you are performing, but I found the stabilizer to be quite effective during daytime • If you want to add the Horizon feature, you can rotate the camera to any degree you want, and the footage will stay locked on the horizon (If you don't want to use this feature). In addition to the audio, I found the device to be very user-friendly. There are six microphones, and I didn't have issues with wind interference, shaky helmet noise, or underwater sounds from my friends while using this device. If you allow the camera to focus more on the audio, you will be able to hear the audio better. If the GoPro is stable and you want to film an interview or want to vlog, you can use this feature. I like the fact that it has a really convenient 360-degree rotating feature Layout for a time-lapse video in 360 degrees. Having this information would be useful, though I have not tested it. A touchscreen is a great viewfinder not only because it is very responsive, but also because it can contend when the sun is right on top of In general, the video quality is crisp and vibrant in 1080p. Overexposure does not degrade the clip, even though it appears to be a little overexposed. There has been 1080p video content for a long time. As far as quality is concerned, there were no issues. • The Pro also comes with a 270-degree angle of view This feature allows you to create a 360-degree panorama. One of the cool things about this is that you don't have to pan the camera left to right, like with most The process is as simple as clicking a button. Easy to use, quick to download, and a great picture There are a few cons and a few oks A 24p product can't be shot in 4K because there is no 28p available. The main issue I discovered is that the GoPro does not produce good quality pictures when focusing on a close up shot. When an object gets closer, the quality drops, but it's hard to pinpoint when exactly that happens. The image becomes crunchy the closer the viewer gets because he or she cannot grasp it. There are several issues that need to be addressed by 360 filmmakers, including the camera design. You have a front-facing camera with a lens and a back-facing camera. I like the layout, but I don't like the inclusion of a lens in the front. It is the lighting that causes this problem. The sun will create an entirely different exposure level for one lens than the other if it is directly hitting it. In order to film 360-degree video, users have to get around this problem, which I do not know how to solve. There's a good chance you'll need to fix the exposure issue in the third-party app or software you use to edit it. It's noticeable that the stitching is below the top of the shot and above the bottom. Due to the wide base, the camera can be mounted to a wide range of surfaces. It is not unique to this one, and it occurs on a majority of action cameras. The modification process should not be slowed down In modus. I will serve you up a few shots en It is possible to set most modes to 60fps (in most cases), 1080p or 1440p, and of course, 30fps or 24fps. I don't make anything from scratch what I do is what I do. The wide angle shot is more difficult to control. If the shot is not 270 degrees, I cannot control anything. There's a solution that involves using third-party software to fix this, but that's another step and sometimes you just want the clip on the web as soon as possible. There is no burst mode or night mode on this camera, so if you want to make nighttime pictures you'd better buy another model. There is a noticeable difference between nighttime stabilization performance and daytime stabilization performance. Additionally, depending on how fast you walk, there are still ups and downs. The night, however, is important to bear in mind. The video quality decreases at night in additional to the issue with the lighting. Choosing the wrong camera for night shots is not going to impress, as the pixels will not look good. Stick to your smartphone, if it comes with 4K. Non-profit organizations When shooting fisheye, the picture will appear grainy, unless the room is fully lit. As far as I'm concerned, this is because GoPro always tries to get the best shot. It does so by compensating for the stretched dimensions applied to the photo. While the app offers a lot of features for people who want to make the best of every shot, their color-correcting software is minimal at best. Use another program if you want to make sure your photos are perfect. • I am aware that the Timewarp function (5 hrs/day) will drain a battery quickly. As a result of just filming an 8-minute clip The battery drain dropped by 12% after watching a minute video. It doesn't have a night setting for the time-lapse feature, so you can only set it up during the day for the best output. If you have ever used GoPro, you should be aware that you'll have fewer video modes to choose from starting next year. As a result, the touchscreen stays on a little longer than usual when shooting. Software updates should be able to address this, since an active screen just consumes the battery faster than usual. There is no underwater camera in the GoPro, although the company claims it is waterproof up to 16 feet deep. words, they say the jacket has protection in the rain, but just make sure you put a case on it for trips to the lake or pool. I noticed that the touchscreen did not allow me to scroll around the 360 frames when testing the 360 video layout. A 360-degree shot can only be moved around with a swipe because you can't move around the screen. Also, you cannot use their "auto" mode in 360 mode to help you with the subject focus correction. It trades off with the fact that you want to focus wherever you like. It is designed to be used for a full day if it is used for filming, using the touchscreen, and using the internet In order to get a battery to keep this up for the entire day with increased Wi-Fi transmission and recording, you'll need an external If you only have one, you may be able to survive, but you should give up the Internet You can interact with the touchscreen as well as the Wi-Fi connection on your phone. You have to accept a lot of contracts before using this device! You will not be able to use all the GoPro features if you do not agree to all of them. In two specific contracts, as far as I recall, if you do not "agree," you are not allowed to use the app to transfer, edit, or even watch The greater the price of a tool, the more strict they are in terms of how you should use This will lead to the lenses getting scratched since they are not protected. You will be glad to know that GoPro has dust-lens covers for its cameras. With these lenses, they are a must. It appears that the battery door is malfunctioning. There is a problem with it popping off. Although I am not sure if this is just me, I thought I should note it on the site just in case others are experiencing this as well. I think GoPro got it right when they tried to be more than just action cameras. It aims to be more than just an action camera, but also the only video editing and editing software you can This GoPro, of all things, has great app integration which you won't want to miss out on. Besides being able to play my videos on the touchscreen but also being able to edit them on the app, I found it extremely easy to use. From my point of view, the ability to edit videos on your phone and publish them out is one of the best features of the app. The GoPro 360 camera is quite unique, allowing professional athletes and vloggers of all ages to create 360 shots of the everyday life, or film it in 360 degrees.

But as with every good thing, there's a bad one too. Using the wrong layout for the exposure, etc. ). As the app is best only for quick, easy publishing of short videos, relying on Adobe or another program for more intensive shots is advisable (particularly when it comes to 360 videos). I will have to address the video quality and the night modes as the two main issues. I found the lack of 4K to be a big let-down since not only are most smartphones now able to shoot 4K footage, but GoPro past models also offered this feature. In addition, there is no night mode. I did not find this camera to be a winner of the night trial. Because the video quality and stabilization decrease at night, this is a camera that cannot be used for night time It is not meant to last more than a Ultimately, I felt that GoPro had created a camera that can be used for two different types of Considering the unique dual lens design, and the overall compact nature of the system, I see this as an ideal pick This can be your "go-to" camera when you want to take a quick shot with If you expect to be gone for more than a day, just be sure to bring an extra set of batteries. As a whole This is the first daytime action camera designed for adventure athletes as well as lifestyle vloggers of all Thanks for your time. I hope I was able to help. I am an honest reviewer, with love and respect.

I have been using the Garmin VIRB 360 for the past year or two, so I am basing this review off of what I know can be accomplished with a 360° camera as well as the difficulties that I faced using it
3/5

Now that's out of the way, let's get to work. *Two crucial factors are stitching and stabilization, which are at the core of all action 360° cameras. In some cameras the video is stitched as it is recorded, while in others the video files are stored and it is stitched later. A combination of the two makes up the MAX. GoPro's new technology allows videos to be stored in a single file. There are several tracks inside of a 360-file format. The following four need to be discussed without going into much detail. A video track comes in two parts, there is an audio track, and a GPS/sensor track comes in four parts. You have to use either the mobile (Android/iOS) or desktop (Mac/PC) apps to upload stabilized videos to the internet or share them with your friends. There isn't much support for desktop editing on the GoPro platform which has made users unhappy. In the documentation and on the internet, you'll find that the "GoPro Player" isn't yet available for Windows, and the "MAX Exporter" will only export to the CineForm codec, which results in large files that are difficult to handle. A library management system is not available, there is no overlay support for sensor data on video, there is no support for archiving recorded video for future use Video exported to CineForm has been stabilized to 360°, but the GPMF (GPS/sensor) data is missing, and so you cannot use third-party tools to combine the sensor data from the camera. It's next to impossible to use this camera on anything other than a Mac right now, despite the hardware and technical achievements in it. There are, however, other alternatives that are better and less difficult to use for a comparable price.

Own an Insta360 one x, then don't waste your time with this
4/5

Besides being faster, this model also features screen and hero modes, which makes it a better choice over the Insta360 ONE X. It's nice to be waterproof, but the footage looks weird underwater, so you'll still need a In addition, I don't want to risk dropping a $500 camera in the sea. My Insta360 One X footage looks very similar to footage from footage from footage. The sun is bright during the day as well as The GoPro Hero 8 Max is twice the size and twice as thick as an Insta360, so it wouldn't be the best choice for portability. The shotgun mics are great, but they do not have the quality of a true shotgun mic. There was a recent firmware update that improved the quality of the microphone on the Insta360. The bottom line is GoPro is competing against a product that has already been around for a year and isn't going to win. The camera is great, but the extra $200 is not warranted.

It is a total piece of crap, do not purchase it
3/5

The insta360 is the way to go. Gopro launched this camera despite the fact that it is a terrible product in nearly every aspect, very buggy. I think it wasn't ready for production, but they launched it nonetheless. My videos will not download to my phone, or to another one. If it turns off at any time with a different battery, it does so as well. Despite repeated requests to update the firmware, there is no way to do so.

The quality of the video is poor compared to other action cameras. Go for the insta360 one x instead. In every spec you compare it to, it is superior. Aspects such as dynamic range, frame rate, bit rate, and There is no 360 slow-motion in the hero mode, and the maximum frame rate is 60, so it is a joke to say that this has no slow motion. We are behind insta360, and they are by far the best in every aspect. Do not buy this camera, is not worth the money, and there are many cheaper alternatives, like the insta360 one x.
