Questions & Answers

Dji is the seller for this product. I see that the card has a speed rating of U1. Was it my imagination that the osmo pocket would require a u3 device?

In addition to my own card, I bought another one As for the one that came with it, I don't think I've even used

With the WiFi module attached to the Osmo pocket, can it be charged?

It's okay to do so

The Controller wheel lets you change settings. What does it ?

Thanks for reaching out about the controller wheel. You can use the control wheel to manually pan or tilt the camera without having to use your phone.

Is it necessary for the wireless module used to connect to the phone via Bluetooth to be connected all the time?

Yes, you must always be connected to the internet, and the connection is via WiFi, not

It was not as good as I expected
3/5

Osmo Pocket is an item that I'm really looking forward to loving. Whenever I use it, I always end up finding something wrong with the item (or the installation of a new firmware). This kit is unfortunately plagued with a lot of issues. Here are the instructions on how to mount a GoPro Did this design get done by someone? When mounting a screen on a pole, angle adapters are needed to make the screen face your direction. What's the reason? Could you please let me know if something is missing? Using my phone, I am also unable to connect the OSMO. This means that I have to remove the OSMO from the mount and connect the phone adapter to use my phone for viewing or making adjustments. For what should be a straightforward task, there are a lot of tiny parts to muddle around with. Additionally, if you buy it separately, it's ridiculously expensive. It would appear that mounting the Osmo to its bottom portion (which is slightly offset based on the connector's location) would solve this problem & provide a mounting point where angle adapters are not needed. Here are the details about the wireless adapter I tried it on multiple Android phones, but it didn't work at all. Google Pixel 2, Google Pixel 3, and the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S9 There are a lot of no's here. It doesn't work at all with iOS and even with it there is a lot of connection issues. Also, why doesn't this wireless adapter plug into the phone connector? Having both a phone adapter and the Wireless adapter plugged in at the same time results in a message saying you must unplug one of them. There seemed to be a chain reaction starting with a little bad design, then more, and more, and more. Here's how the thumb wheel works It is the only thing that The plan still leaves much to be desired. The smoothness and speed of the gimbal can be adjusted where? While I understand that it's a firmware issue, I swear. Due to the thumb wheel taking up the phone adapter slot, there is no way for a phone to connect to the computer I do have the Osmo in hand, so would not that be the right time to use a phone as a monitor if I wanted the extra control the thumb wheel offered?.

The point is not addressed and the parts don't fit together
3/5

I really don't know what to make of this strange mixed bag. It has some valid, if somewhat frustrating, utility, but use of one or more features can both improve it and make things worse at the same time. For instance, to use the control wheel you must remove the smartphone adapter, however then you have nowhere to put it to avoid losing Additionally, the buttons added cannot be remapped either. One is dedicated to tracking, and the other is dedicated to selfies. There's not much use to the mount at all. It does not come with all the hardware to mount it to anything and you can't leave anything plugged into the port when using it. The article assumes that you already have a place to mount an action camera, and if you don't, you're left with not much information on what It's a big deal that we're gonna get that we're gonna get that Nevertheless, I think the Bluetooth/fi adaptor is the only thing that adds value since it is the only thing that does not actively diminish the device as well at the same time. However, it is extremely buggy and slow, at least to my eyes. Once you can just plug the device into your phone, you won't want to use it any longer. While it can be used as a long, wide stand base, it does not offer automatic uploads, a tripod mount or anything of the sort. You will have no option but to use the scroll wheel if you do so if you wish, as that will be the only method to connect to your phone now. All in all, the utility offered here is surprisingly limited at best, and contrasts with the simplicity of the design of the Osmo Pocket. As things stand, the wheel control would probably be better with software and firmware updates, but unless you are dead serious about the wheel control as well as want to be able to change settings simultaneously (from your phone via wifi/bluetooth), then you should.

These must-have accessories are a must
5/5

In order to make the package complete, these accessories are necessary. The OSMO should just be brought along with them. The wireless module actually connects to your phone via WiFi.

The wireless module is not perfect. Bluetooth is only used briefly to transfer the WiFi password between your phone and the tablet. Therefore, I would say that it does not have Bluetooth capabilities. By way of Bluetooth, it cannot connect to your phone, at least not in a useful way. I can connect to my WiFi network on my iPhone without any problems. Despite that, I cannot connect to the Osmo and a wifi hotspot at the same time.

The controller wheel is useful for controlling the sensor. Obviously, the only practical way to influence the pan and tilt is with a switch. But you can only control one at a time. That switch must be flipped to choose which axis you want I would highly recommend a joystick over this as it lets you control both axes at the same time. Also, the Accessory Mount has a mounting point for attaching the Osmo to just about anything. There is a GoPro mount on the back of the handle that is used for mounting. If you want to mount it to anything at all, you'll have to dig into your GoPro mount collection, because the GoPro mount faces away from the camera instead of downwards. In addition, it blocks the port on the Osmo, so you have to remove the controller wheel or the teeny-tiny cable The mount can only be used with a tiny phone connector or a cover for the port. It is possible to stay in place with the wireless module. The bundle seems good enough that I would consider purchasing it. Osmo is made more useful by the inclusion of all three items (4 if you include the SD card). In addition to their own limitations, each has its own strengths. In addition to improving the Osmo, they do not make it a replacement for a higher-end camera mounted to a.

A pair of Original Equipment Osmo Pockets
5/5

When I ordered this kit, I was a little unsure. While this item has been on B/O since I bought my Pocket, I was on the list at B+H Photo. As far as I'v seen online, it's the only one I've seen and I thought it might be a knock off, but it's Packing from DJI that originally came from the US. Thank you for your kit. I'm happy to finally have it.
