After the Hero9 came out of the box, it froze trying to use a brand new 256GB SanDisk Extreme card. In other words, Adorama (the seller) will not pay for return shipping, so if you want to try the still glitchy Hero9 and purchase from them, be aware that you will be responsible for shipping back any defective items.
The batteries are worth more than I purchased, since you will be able to use them soon. The number of calls I get is only between 35 and 40 I got 40 minutes of power on battery. I had overheating warnings and shutdowns though. I turned off a few functions and the overheating stopped and the battery life improved a little. I am impressed with the results so far. I was very pleased with the shipping speed.
In addition to my Hero 4, my Hero 7, and two Hero 8s, I have now acquired a Hero There are truly huge differences between the two. It isn't saying that the other ones are bad, because I still use them, but this one has a front-facing screen which at least makes vlogging easier.
I am outdoors a lot and will be using it for YT. The only downfall is it doesn't come with the door attachment I need (it does have a regular side door, though) but they can be purchased. I hope this review helps in your decision.
It is absolutely awesome to watch videos taken with Hero 9! On my way to Kings Canyon, I'd like to take it.

There was definitely everything I needed in the box. My phone was able to control the camera once I hooked it up to the app. Most of the time, it is mounted to a mask, which is probably its greatest appeal to me. I am absolutely amazed by the quality of the pictures and videos!.
