I don't really think so. It looks like there is a beta program called "GoPro Webcam" that might (though I haven't tried it on all three computers) let you zoom in and out. It has been a disappointing experience. It's because of this that they replied with a link to an article instead of just answering the question. It has been a long time since I have used a GoPro and I feel betrayed by this misrepresentation of the equipment and the $35 accessory required for HDMI.
The answer to both of those questions is yes. You should be aware that when you remove the battery door on the camera, the USB ports become exposed, which makes the camera ineligible to be used underwater. In other words, there is no protection against water when the door is closed.
The battery size of the GoPro HERO9 Black is bigger (and its capacity is bigger). Batteries from older camera models cannot be used with HERO9 Black.

To use this product as a webcam, I purchased it. There is one problem The Windows software is beta and resides on a FaceBook group, so you have to wait for approval to obtain it. When GoPro says it is webcam-ready, then they should offer the software on their website. Meanwhile, we are waiting for approval on Facebook to make the software available. I do not accept this!.
I own a number of GoPro cameras, but this is by far the most impressive. 20 MP camera makes this perfect to bring to my kids' sporting events, and the 14 MP camera makes it great for watching movies. These frame grabs from the video have been a lot of fun to make. The freezing point. There's a problem with the connection. Oh, dear. In general, I expected this camera to automatically connect to my phone and work right out of the box as it did with my previous one. Not at all. The firmware needs to be manually updated if there are connection issues. It has horrible image quality, audio issues, and lags horribly. There is no way to run it at this time. You must pull the battery out of the phone if the screen turns black or freezes. Why are you doing this? Does the unit seem to be faulty?.
