The unit is great when it works This device has a known problem in which it would shut down completely and would never start back up again, even when it is fully charged. Trying to turn it on in the plugged-in position and hard resetting it did not work. Initially, I had to remove the battery and put it back in a few times (as recommended on reddit) before it worked. It will work as normal after that. I ran into the same issue a few days later. The product has issues with instability, so I cannot recommend it.
Don't make assumptions. A fully charged battery of my Osmo Action device would not turn it on.
I have experienced very few issues with other DJI products, but this one still has issues!.
The action camera you see here is the fifth I own, after owning a couple dozen over the years. In the event you attempt to use this camera more than five times without registering it, you will literally lose How does registering it benefit you? They try to sell you insurance and accessories so that they can make money from you. And that's all I have to say. What if you were to take this camera with you on vacation, turn it on and the camera said that you couldn't use it until it was registered before the 5th use? A very good camera can be found here. Does DJI exist? I would not say so.
Adding a spare battery did not help (even if it held charge). In addition, the app didn't connect to the Internet. I returned as soon as possible. It is possible that I will order another to verify that the product is faulty.
It is my second action cam my first one was the Brave 7Le, which was very good, but didn't measure up to this one. Like others, I have no complaints with the image quality however, I agree with other respondents that the color reproduction is a bit flat and less vibrant. The only reason more professionals like this is that it permits them to play around with the images using software programs, but a casual user is probably not going to be doing that yet it should be colorful for most and it has fantastic images and videos. As it is, the built-in mic on this camera is not very good in order to have decent audio, you would have to add an external microphone which would also require a $25 adapter, but this would be beneficial if you are aiming for decent sound. If you have a Samsung phone and wish to connect to the camera, it may be a bit tricky, but we've managed it. While it is not essential that the two are connected, if you want your firmware updated, you will need to do so. The only drawback of this camera is the lack of vivid color and the mic issue. I would have given it 5 stars otherwise. To be fair, my pictures were taken on a very hot, hazy day. I will now take some in bright, clear sunshine to see if the results are any different.
I tried to use Osmo Action for 5 days and it broke! Furthermore, DJI and Camrise have poor customer service, since DJI admitted the product was defective, but said they would replace it, so I had to return to Camrise, but Camrise only refunded me half because I didn't have the box for the defective product!.
Amazing camera. I love it. I find the plastic casing to be a bit bothersome. A new aluminum case for the SmallRig was installed. I think the aluminum dissipates the heat generated by the camera better than the plastic case so we don't need to take the case off to access the battery. Plus, the aluminum fits in my hands better and allows for better access to the battery. I'm very happy with the way my videos are turning out. This mode is especially appealing to me. Whenever possible, I try to slow down on turns for better recording, otherwise it can sound too jerky and look like a rip. The wide-angle lens of this camera is also something I like to use for taking pictures. It's my first action camera, so I can't compare it to other action cameras.
In addition to the high resolution, I love that I can have 4K without the fisheye effect. I'm very pleased with this and would recommend it over a.
