Gimbal Camera Assembly 4K for DJI Mavic Pro Drone Repair Part

During my recent crash, my Mavic Pro probably took a very rough fall from at least 20 meters up against a tree (I cannot imagine The drone would still fly after the crash, but the gimbal was completely destroyed. Mavic Pro Platinum has been a joy to fly for me for the past two years. The other day, I was flying in sport mode and got distracted by the screen, then looked up to find the drone, which is hard to do when it is flying at 35 mph at 30 feet while I am trying to see it against It took me a while to finally locate it, but when I did it was headed straight towards a tree since it was in sport mode, which disabled obstacle avoidance. The ball crashed into the canopy of the tree and landed with a thud that was sickening to hear. There seems to be an issue with the drone's battery. As soon as I put the battery back in, it flew, but I received errors from the gimbal. When I tried to calibrate the gimbal, there was a horrible sound of grinding as soon as the cooling fan started working. It wasn't just the gimbal that was broken, but the fan as well. In my search for the parts on the DJI's website, I could not locate them. My search led me to this gimbal on Amazon. The following day, we received it along with the fan we ordered from another vendor. The DJI gimbal was encased in a giant block of foam that came with the original packaging. This is an extremely well-protected area. Having watched a few YouTube videos, I started taking the drone apart. It was scary at first because I was afraid to break things but it is a pretty tough bird. It is well built and I was able to take it apart with ease with some tools. It took me less than an hour to replace both the gimbal and the fan on my camera. When I turned it back on, I had to calibrate the compass, IMU, and the gimbal, but once I did that, it only took me about 5 minutes to get back up to I received a part that was as described and as ordered. The cost of a drone was far less than $1200.

After a few minutes of work, I was done. There was a DJI packaging for it. At least it appeared to work.
It worked immediately after installation but the picture was I could have sworn I was looking through a tinted window, but I did. I used it for maybe 15 minutes over the course of 4 or 5 short flights, but then Having not checked it out for some time, it took me a while to see what it was about. Despite the fact that all the plugs are still in tact and physically looks new, it doesn't A DJI brand case should protect your gimble from damage. Never wreck your drone.
I am over the return window by a couple weeks and will not be able to return. Therefore, my drone has once again been left on the shelf!.

The replacements for cheap gimbals and cameras haven't worked for me in the past, but these are in DJI packaging and I've had no It seems these things utilize connectors that are some of the smallest known to man and if they are not perfectly aligned nothing will work. It is relatively easy to swap out a Mavic Pro camera with a good replacement, including the vibe board and everything else that screws to the chassis. A metric hex wrench, a tiny Phillips screwdriver, maybe a pair of tweezers, a magnifier to cinch the connectors, and a pry tool are all you need.

The camera and the fan took a total of about 75 minutes to replace. It's fairly simple to replace a defective screwdriver, provided that you have the right ones. However, make sure you are careful. Youtube shows 2 ribbon cables on the camera while there are actually 4 ribbon cables. I found a video that explains it only in 2 places on the camera. There weren't many way to see the front two, as they were sort of glued on. My final outcome was to rip both of them. The front collision avoidance sensors will now be replaced. The camera on my drone is now working fine, so overall I'm happy with it (compared to the cost of a new drone), and I am pretty happy I was able to repair the camera myself. The product was excellent and I would purchase it But hopefully we won't have to resort to that.

All the items that come with the product work fine and are packaged well, however, it is unfortunate that this camera is not classified as an "upgraded more robust camera". It is extremely easy for the original to break and surfaces itself at a time when a field repair is quite impossible to achieve. I feel like I gave 4 stars for the replacement, but I would lower the score, since the fundamental floor is good.

It appears that this company sends the gimbal out in a case that is indestructible. It is very easy to change out the gimbal camera yourself according to some YouTube videos. When I took my drone out for the very first time, my camera failed to work, but I never used it enough to get it repaired within This is fantastic now that the old one has been replaced.
