It's a great idea to secure and protect the lens while at the same time keeping the gimbal in place. This makes sense to me since I had to send my Mavic in for repair for gimbal issues probably due to not using the clamp while I was traveling. DJI is a technology I do not understand. produce products that are almost cutting edge but fail in the small details, leading to a lot of frustration for the end user. Despite creating such an incredible drone, they cover its most valuable components with flimsy sticks that are easy to lose, break, or forget. Is it just part of the great plan I guess to allow the free market to profit from what they don't I would highly recommend purchasing this as one of the FIRST things you buy after you purchase the drone. Keeping the camera safe and remembering to put it in proper position for travel is a great idea!

When travelling, your camera/Gimble will be comfortable and secure, and, as a bonus, you will rest assured that you did not forget to lock it down correctly. The original cover has been changed so many times over the years. When it's just resting on a shelf or tucked into a tailgate, it does add a bit more class to its imposing figure!.

Two of the pillars have been trimmed to fit exactly into the slot, about a millimeter, since they were a bit too long. It's small and may be hard to use if you have short fingernails or stubby fingers. That's all I got. I'm glad I don't have to use the original gimbal guard which has been bothersome for a while. There is one tip that you should know When it's installed, the camera should be pointed down (toward the top of the drone) while the mavic is on its back.

I like it as soon as I turn it on. My only problem with it is that there are a few things about it that don't work for me. It is like trying to solve a puzzle to put it on. To lock the gimbal, you need to line up the clips in front while you try to slide the back of the gimbal into the slot. The task seems to be too complicated for something that should just 2.
