DJI Osmo Mobile 2 Base (Part 1) Drone Accessory Electronics, Black (CP.ZM.00000083.01)

I bought the Reitcam mini tripod when the DJI Osmo Mobile 2 was first released since it was sold out when it first came out. Even though the mini tripod is compact, it still takes some time to set up and is bulky. Similarly, I thought that the base wouldn't be strong enough, as the gimbal makes sudden movements when calibrating the phone to the gimbal, so I thought it would topple. In any case, I took the risk of ordering it when it was made available on Amazon. It is very portable and easy to set up, and the base is nice and simple to use. A pair of bottom screws allows the gimbal to be attached to the base in either direction, and the gimbal can be rotated in either direction. If you need to put it down for any reason, you can place it on a flat surface. Because of its tiny size, you can easily carry it around while using it. In my calibration, I used the base to make sure the gimbal was stable and not tipping Gimbals should come with this accessory as an integral part of the device, not as top>One of the major pros is that it is very portable, much more so The DJI Osmo gimbal goes in either direction* **Very stable, stable enough to allow calibration of the gimbal even in fast mode*****Cons****Not for the base itself, but it should be included as a separate.

As part of the OSMO Mobile 2 package, DJI should include this base. OSMO Mobile 2 and the base allow you to do much more than just walk around. For instance, motion time-lapses can be set up. Even though you can use a tripod on a small scale, you still should not underestimate the value of a completed package.

I really like the way this product works on flat surfaces and it's very durable. Obviously, uneven surfaces are going to pose a bit of a problem, but honestly, in any circumstance other than a flat surface, you should always use a tripod. There is only one downside to this product, it was not included with 'Osmo Mobile 2. ' Anyway, a must for anyone who wants to use a gimbal.

After acquiring the item, I am wondering why I bought it in the first place. a very well-built device and works really well if the only use will be setting it on a flat surface inside. However, there is not much more to say about its usefulness. A poor quality product and one that is not weighted may easily blow over in a strong wind, and it must rest on a smooth, stable surface to prevent tipping. An ordinary tripod screw can be attached to the base of the Osmo. Most people will probably be better off opting for a low-profile tripod or a clamp rather than a standard tripod. It's a lightweight piece of plastic with a tripod screw. It's nothing wrong with the product, just keep in mind how much you're paying for it. The price seemed to be a little high for the quality.

All in all, the base did a good job stabilizing the OSMO However, as has been mentioned, this should be simply built into the product from the beginning.

Taking this accessory both to China and Japan, I was unable to use it during either of those trips. Taking it to both China and Japan isn't enough to justify the $16 I paid for it. We are on vacation for 5 weeks. Many tourist attractions had good places to set up this base for photos, but none had a good place like this to setup If you are interested in taking time-lapses, it might be better to use controlled settings where your camera and Osmo will be left alone for a longer amount of time.

According to the description, it does as they claim. In situations when you're using the DJI Go App to freeze your Osmo Mobile 2, this is the best place to mount the device for use of all the features (Video *Lapses, Photo Long Exposure/Light Trial, Panorama) rendered by it. You may not need it if you have an Osmo attached to a tripod, your tripod can attach directly to the Osmo.

It is not sufficient if you currently have an Osmo Mobile 2. You can using a mini tripod in conjunction with this camera, but you don't really have to think about it, and it works well for timelapse photography.
