the- Shooting Stars, go! Adorama's Glow brand of soft boxes and related gear is aimed at professional photographers looking for high-quality equipment on a tight budget. Designed to be simple to put together; It's as simple as opening an umbrella and using the Velcro Hook-and-Loop system to attach diffusion panels. When shooting on location, I use a loop system like this for my on-the-go, mobile portrait studio. Compared to my studio's "less mobile" softboxes, the material is lighter, thinner, and more like nylon. With panels made of stronger, thicker, higher-quality vinyl material instead of nylon, which are much more difficult to set up using individual fiberglass rods and necessitate a lot of physical manipulation. I believe I get nearly the same quality of light and output from the Glow EZ Lock series as I do from my studio softboxes and stripboxes that are permanently set up. Because it is so simple to set up and dismantle in a matter of seconds; For on-location shooting, I highly recommend this set of softboxes. or in the comfort of your own home!.
This has been an excellent addition to our studio activities. The strip box allows us to add a hair/rim light with ease, and the ability to reduce the spread of light with the added grid is a bonus. However, it appears that quality is a problem. It's not the item's quality that matters, but the assembly quality. The mounting bracket can be adjusted by loosening the "thumb" screw, rotating it to the desired position, and tightening the screw. Isn't it simple? Cross threading was caused by the screw not being screwed in correctly the first time. I couldn't get the screw back into place with the strength of my fingers and thumb. When loosening the screw, I made sure to only loosen it enough to rotate/turn the backing (I didn't want to lose the screw) and then tighten it afterward. Finally, I got a pair of pliers to pull the rhumb screw out, and the thumb screw was cross threaded, which made tightening it difficult. br>br>Now it's time to find a new screw. br>br>However, this is an excellent strip box; the quality is far superior to that of others.
This is the most effective strip box available. You don't have to be concerned about inserting and removing those rods. This is an umbrella-style strip box that opens and closes in a fraction of a second. An inner diffusion baffle, an outer diffuser, a grid, and a reflector plate are included as well. You can use just the outer diffuser if you want, but you also have the option of using the inner diffusion baffle to add more diffusion. With the reflector plate, it can also be used as a beauty dish. Everything is contained within the provided bag. It's well worth the extra $20 or $30 to upgrade to the Glow umbrella version. The Glow softboxes have exceeded my expectations. Two Glow OCTA boxes are also in my collection. They are the most effective soft boxes available.
Whew! The days of the old light modifiers with their difficult-to-bend rods are long gone! I'm a professional photographer, and the quick-assemble modifiers save me time by allowing me to focus on the photography rather than the tediousness of the equipment. The lighting from the strip box is exactly what I expected, and the bowens mount allows me to use most of my strobes. I can use it on my Profoto lights with an adapter because it's flashpoint and godox. Thank engineers and product improvement specialists for these types of technological advancements. It's important to keep in mind that equipment is important. within the realm of photography Simply by reducing setup time, more session control is possible.
setup a strip softbox that opened up like an umbrella, similar to one I bought about three years ago but is no longer available. This one is a little different in terms of construction; it's not quite an umbrella, but it still opens and closes quickly and appears to be of excellent quality. Yes, I am pleased with it as well as the price.
I bought two of them because they were so good. The best part? They're simple to set up; simply open them, add the diffuser, and then the grid if necessary. It's preferable to having to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a 15 minutes of tinkering with rods and loops in the hopes of not breaking the box's mount spots. Used for athletic shots, one behind each shouder, or on each side of the subject; perfect size to get all the lide from the ankle up that I need. br>br> Also, the carry bags are very nice.
I like how easy it is to open and close without having to assemble any rods. If you take good care of it, you'll be able to use it for many years. It's primarily used for rim lighting, and it performs admirably.
This softbox is a lighting wizard. I use this one for rim lighting and will be purchasing another one soon to complete my setup with a third light. Fantastic Softbox. br>br> I would strongly suggest it.
