Questions & Answers
There's a bowens mount on it. Which one has the notch, and then you turn to snap it into place.
You can use it with any speedlight type because it's mounted on the back, but you'll need a Montura Bowen adapter, as well as a tripiƩ with a Montura Bowen adapter, or a datador that you'll be using, like a hand for example, to make it portable.
It can be used with any light that has a Bowen's mount. I used the Godox sl60w and vl150 to test it. It works perfectly.
According to my knowledge, it is with Bowen's mount.

After 4 years of use, my main modifier from Phottix broke, so I purchased this modifier Octagonal Softbox. It came with a simple carry bag as well as two white covers to soften the light. br>br> It's simple to put together and lightweight. br>br>I use it with a Godox bracket mount and a Flashpoint Speedlite R2 and Evolv200 to create very soft and good portrait lighting. br>br>While the design is appealing, the durability of the product is debatable. I'm hoping it can last a year or more.
For run and gun/solo shooters, this is a must-have. I used it in conjunction with the Godox SL- 60 frames per second video light The take-down buttons are made of plastic, but if used properly, they should last a long time.
However, it's simple to put together and folds flat, which is crucial for my setup. Usually, if something appears to be too good to be true, it is. A chimera folding softbox costs six times as much as a regular softbox, but it will last a lifetime. So, if this lasts a year or two, it'll be well worth the investment. I'll just keep a few extras in the trunk as a backup!.
This softbox has a high quality feel to it, in my opinion. All of the rods, brackets, and umbrellas are of professional quality. This is not a simple or quick set-up, in my opinion. It's not like a standard umbrella in that it can't be quickly expanded, and it's a little heavy (which adds to its sturdiness). It would have been nice if it came with a small instruction booklet. The rods take a little "humph" to get in place, but I suppose that's a good sign that they're secure. Several of the rods are bent after the first disassembly, so I hope they don't break after regular use, and that if they do, you can get more. The three (or maybe four?) (or maybe five?) (or whatever) (or whatever) (or whatever) (or whatever) (or whatever) (or whatever) (or whatever) (or whatever ) Diffusion stages: The beauty dish is hit first, followed by the white (not silver) back interior of the umbrella, the middle white diffuser layer, and finally the outer white diffuser layer. In other words, any hotspot is effectively eliminated. I purchased a bowens mount separately to use with a yongnuo speed light (shown). It would be better if it had a grid, but it is still a good deal. Soon, I hope to add a headshot photo to demonstrate the light spread.
Life and shooting are made so much easier with the foldable softbox! I used to despise having to assemble the rods and squish the corners; now it just pops open, and all I have to do is screw it onto my strobe. I'm confident bringing this soft box on shoots because it's easy to set up and provides extremely soft lighting.
It's ideal for fast-paced situations because it can be collapsed and expanded in seconds, and you don't have to waste time guiding and forcing metal rods into a softbox. br>It's also fantastic that the diffusion can be attached with Velcro rather than clamps. br>I intend to buy more as I acquire more lights, and I am hoping to find this softbox in larger sizes!.
Lightweight but strong and resistant to deformation. A diffuser plate is included to increase the amount of creative space available. This product has exceeded my expectations.
I've only used it a little, but I'm pleased with the results, and the fact that it's fordable is ideal for my frequent travels. It appears to be well-made, and while it is a little difficult to install (you must exert some effort in order to secure the rods), it remains in perfect condition.
