The Aputure Lantern is one of the most powerful soft light modifiers we've ever created. In a matter of seconds, this spherical softbox can be opened and used. As filmmakers, you must be able to move quickly, and your lighting should not hinder you. You'll be able to create soft, even lighting wherever your shoots take you with the Lantern.
Turn on all of the lights in the room. The Lantern distributes light from your LED or Studio Stobe in all directions with a 270° beam angle thanks to its 26" spherical design. With just one light source, you can now fill an entire room with soft, even light.
The Lantern can be set up or taken down in seconds thanks to its tension-based quick release design, allowing you to set up fewer lights, faster. The Lantern is the ideal soft light modifier because of this, as well as its sturdy and portable design. Put it in the trunk of your car and start shooting.
The Lantern is the ideal photo or video accessory for casting soft light over a large area while maintaining control, as it can be mounted on any Bowens mount Studio Strobe or LED fixtures, such as our 120d or 300d series lights.
We wanted to take the spherical lantern design a step further because you need to be able to control your light to create cinematic depth. The Aputure Lantern is one of the few spherical softboxes on the market with a 4-section fully adjustable light control skirt, which can be attached in any position using a hook-and-loop design, allowing you to control your soft light quickly and precisely. To block out unwanted light, simply roll the skirt up or down.

Is the gel holder included in this package?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. I'm still on the lookout for a good way to secure gels in place.
Will the new Godox VL 150 continue light fit and lock into this aputure lantern nicely?
It'll fit, but because it's Bowen's mount, it'll always be in use.
A Godox vl300 led light is in my possession. Is it possible to use it with this item?
A built-in Bowens mount is available on the vl300. It works perfectly with all of my Godox video lights.
What is the Godix Sl60W? Is this something that could work?
Yup! Bowens is the mount.

1* The PERGEAR Soft Diffuser was not included in the shipment

It's easy to set up and looks great. My only complaint is that the 1* PERGEAR Soft Diffuser (the color gel-like images in the picture) did not arrive with my order, so I had to deduct a star for that. It's not worth packing it back up to return it, but it's a shame because I was really looking forward to seeing how these worked.
It's simple to put together, and the lighting is fantastic

I really like how quickly this thing sets up (it only takes a few seconds). When used in conjunction with my C120d mii, it creates a stunning volumetric light. This is an incredible modifier.
