Remove the rail raiser if you prefer the camera to be in line with your shoulder, or keep it on and position it down or up if you prefer the camera to be more in line with your head. This is ideal for making quick adjustments while filming without the use of tools. In general, I was pleasantly surprised. The shoulder pad is a pleasant surprise. If you do decide to purchase this, you should consider adding counter weights to ensure that the weight is evenly distributed on both the front and back.
WTH. The rig appears to be cool, but the bracket on the shoulder brace is not in the same place as it appears in the photo. I thought the Allen wrench was in the bag, but I was wrong. So I reached for the other wrenches that came with my rig, but neither of them fit. How can you send an adjustable product without the necessary tools to change it? Most likely, I'll return it and purchase a different brand. This irritates me a great deal.
EDITED. Overall, a great system, but my raiser began to strip after the first use. When I bought the item as a kit, how can I simply send it back for a replacement? EDITbr>br>Br>I was very impressed with NICEYRIG's response and turnaround time in getting me a new Z Raiser so I could get back into action. Thank you very much, everyone!.
For DSLRs, the Canon Cinema EOS line, and other similar-sized cameras, I built a shoulder rig with 15mm rods. cameras of various sizes The shoulder support, which has a comfortable (removable) foam pad, has served me well on several shoots. I just wish it came with the necessary hardware to mount the shoulder support directly beneath the camera rather than sticking out behind it, because I'm having trouble re-mounting it. adjusting my shoulder rig so that the camera is centered on my shoulder br>br>Overall, I think it's been a good investment.
It's a very comfortable chair. A bit of a squeeze. This has a really nice build to it. It's a nice touch to include the cheese plate. I wish the included rails were a little longer, but you can always extend them out back or in front. Unfortunately, the shoulder pad is a little narrow for me, but it's hard to beat the price.
When it's time to break down or set up, it's simple to take off and on. It's also lightweight, so my rig isn't too heavy.
This makes me happy. There are no issues.
I would recommend this over any other shoulder pad on the market. There's plenty of room and holes for mounting weights, and the V-shaped design is aesthetically pleasing. Batteries, for example, can be mounted, and it's also quite comfortable.
