This handle is perfect for me. Unlike the wooden handle on the right side of the Smallrig, the Niceyrig has a padded handle. In the case where your rig does not already include a mounting point, you will also need to purchase the rosette mount.
Truth be told, I bought this wood handle grip because I knew it would add an air of professionalism and class to any hand-held rig. Nevertheless, this handle really does provide plenty of utility, as I can use it to swing my kitted out GH5 rig around with ease. This handle is sturdy when installed inside my cage, and it works very well with its attached battery. A rattling noise can be easily fixed with an allen wrench if it ever occurs.
This is a nice handle that helps stabilise the entire rig (smallrig cage + gh5 + handle) by allowing a stable and convenient handling with two I only had a small problem with the screws holding the wood to the metal frame getting loose. Blue loctite can be used to solve the problem.
It's a great handle to complement any camera cage, just make sure you have the right mounting solution in place before buying. Having not had the pleasure of seeing the wooden handle, I have no comparison to draw but I can say that I am pleasantly surprised with how well it performs. Unlike many handles, this one isn't cheap-looking or lacking in quality. The only way I've been able to keep it tight and sturdy is by using my fingers to tighten or loosen This is a solid.
You can use it to create a steadycam out of a DSLR. The grip I'm using is awesome. This is a great deal for the cost.
The wood handle I have is great. This one is a lot bigger than the metal ones, so I like it better. When I spend a great deal of time holding my rig, it's so much easier on my hands.
GH5 cage handle has been very comfortable to hold, and it also looks really good The hand fits very well into the shape.
Although the bolts are well made, they can be somewhat difficult to tighten.
