As I mentioned earlier, I've tried three different sets of hand grips for my 15mm rail system, and this is by far my favorite. I was an idiot and didn't tighten the screws that lock the teeth into place, so at first I had a wiggle. The support team replied quickly and I resolved the issue as soon as they got back to me. Got a great deal of compliments on how stable and comfortable the leather is. These grips show a great deal of attention to detail. This is a highly recommended book.
I'm reminded of my early 80s BMX bike with these grips, but they're made of leather instead of plastic. The backside detente panel is covered by a frontside panel that is secured with a thumbscrew. A few screws on the backside detente panel loosen. Getting rid of them will result in a wobbly handle. You don't want to use your shoulder rig like that. By fully unscrewing the thumbscrew, you should be able to remove the handle. The 4 screws need to be removed, and some blue Loc-Tite should be applied Reinstall the software and re-tite. Since all adjustments are made at the thumbscrew, you never need to remove them anyway.
In spite of the beautifully arranged rosettes, the inner rosette is very poorly affixed Four extremely soft metal Phillips screws are used - they are not corroded or broken The thread locker will not be used and there will be no other options Those rings are. The first time I used this on my rig, I found all 8 screws had come loose. To be able to move the handles until I could find a Phillips’ screw of the right size.
During my own testing of shoulder rigs, I've used three types of handles, and I always felt that rosettes would be useful in the long run. So I grabbed this bundle with the the rosette mount and handles included, and I was able to save a lot of money. You're doing a wonderful job! It is lower than the rail where the handles are located- Mounted ones are also available, though I guess this depends on whether the perpendicular rail mount is used. You won't have to worry about the handles rotating! Just gently tighten them until they are in the position you want, and they sit like that for an extended period of time. It is something I have been waiting for for a very long time.
It's a good handle, but the design of it makes it difficult for them to stay put. Probably a screwdriver is a must-carry if you plan to be able to use these, since they have a phillips screw separating the mounting and the handles. As soon as they are tightened, these work well, but I am concerned that they will loosen over.
These are awesome! I love them! Build quality is very impressive and the construction is very sturdy. I should have mentioned that it would be almost impossible to shut down your camera with these on.
Their looks are good, they are sturdy, and they are comfortable. Is there anything else you could want from a rod handle?.
