I find this system to be simple, straightforward, and easy to set up. In order to keep my house's side safe, I needed something to watch over it. The animals (I now know they are opossums) were constantly getting into my garbage cans and ripping the bags to shreds. They dragged trash around my yard as they ate! I was horrified! The installation was easy just grabbed a drill and screwed the camera onto my fence. I had to run a cord to the plug, but I wasn't concerned with that issue since all I needed was a quick extension cord. The camera does what it says it will. It also has an app. You can use the app to check on your cameras if you aren't at home. It's great for when I am at work or on vacation, since I can access the apps while I am away from home. The front door camera will be used to see who is at the door and the pool camera will keep an eye on the kids when they are outside. Since there are 4 cameras, I can monitor my home from all 4 ends as long as the cameras have 180 degree pan and you can zoom in 4 times.

I like the pictures taken by the cameras. You can easily locate it on your mobile device. On the other hand, if you plan to mount the picture on the ceiling, you cannot flip the picture. In regard to the software on the PC. A new version is required. The interface is very similar to that of Windows 8. BlueStacks is the app I'm using to run ARCCTV. Don't bother with the downloaded software on their website. It's more of a Windows 7 program. A serious upgrade is needed at this company. I see, I'm not that good at night vision. In order to use the cameras on another Anran system with four cameras, I purchased this system. This was the most affordable way to get a 8 cam system at the time. It was easy to set up and the video is very clear. The pan function appears to be of limited use.
