In addition to the antenna placement, mounting the camera from the top is much more challenging than directly to the eave. Installing it on a wall that is vertical is easier. There is an adjustment screw on the mount so you can put the camera at almost any angle. My only wish is to have an easier time rotating the camera on its axis and adjusting the zoom. Lastly, when it comes to the power plugs, I have only a minor complaint. For devices like these, you may need to buy an adaptor to use as an "extender" so that the blades of the plug can reach the outlet. They have the black DC transformer plug, but they won't work with covered outdoor outlets, so you will need one of those. DC transformers are usually the smaller sideways type, which is better than big, heavy bricks. Although I haven't yet delved into all aspects of this software, the instructions are a bit lacking. Great product! I had some issues getting setup (my fault), but Annke support stepped in and got me working Thankfully, my system has been working smoothly since then. My family feels a lot safer since we moved since there are no more blurred pictures, I can view remotely, and alerts come through to my app. We gave it a five-star rating based on quality, price, and customer service.

It is easy to setup and provides excellent images. Even though I expected it to be poor, my night vision is excellent. that I missed the requirement for a 2. I ordered without a HDD and later found out the HDD is not optional. A full HD surveillance system from all the major HD companies was 3 inches. The file is a 5" size. You will also need Adobe Flash Player to view remotely on your PC. The Flash technology will be phased out, so I hope that these units will receive an alternate update that can be updated as a software/firmware update. A big thank you to Annke for creating such.

Having said that, this is my second It lasted three years at first. I would rate it as a good outdoor camera. Be sure to buy the second one too. For it, a 5 inch hard drive would be the best option. It will not fit the case if it is 3 inch.
