br>br>Three things were on my mind: br>br> 1. br>br> br>br>br>br>br>br> a floodlightbr>br>a floodlightbr>br>a floodlightb This model had all of that plus a discount of 20 on Amazon right now
< A video by an Amazon influencer ("Arlo Essential Spotlight vs Eufy Cam 2C vs Reolink Argus 3") is further down the listing, in which he field tests three different products that meet the same criteria I'm looking for ("Arlo Essential Spotlight vs Eufy Cam 2C vs Reolink Argus 3"). This one came out on top for me. br>br>It was a breeze to set up. Both of these features are available on my wireless router. Once I figured out that the QR code to scan is physically on the bottom of the unit, connecting was a piece of cake. Then it was time to figure out where the best mounting spot was. br>br>To get the windows and patio door, I'm scanning about 10 feet in front of the camera. Sensitivity is exceptional. With and without the spotlight, this is an excellent image. I don't need to switch to b/w night vision for my application, so I keep it on color. The battery consumption is extremely low. I decided to buy the solar panel separately and will install it as soon as possible. It also appears to be very simple. br>br>The app is fantastic and extremely adaptable. You can easily alter the settings. I'm using an SD card, and the app assists you in formatting it; I don't think there's a need to upload to the cloud right now, but perhaps in the future. br>br>There are a lot of mounting options. A strap that can be used to attach to a pole or a tree. A mount that is permanently attached. It's a magnetically fixed mount. I decided to go with the magnetic option. So far, everything is running smoothly. I strongly recommend this product after watching the video.
The quality appears to be good both during the day and at night. However, it failed to detect any movement over the course of the night. My spouse left for work at 5 a. m. , but the camera missed it. As a result, I don't have any footage of him getting into his car. br>br>I inserted a microsd and am unable to playback; the device never loads to display internal storage clips, among other features, for which I have already contacted support. br>In terms of cloud storage, they provide up to 1GB of free storage per month. This camera does not record 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It only picks up motion if it detects it at all. When motion is detected, I was able to turn off the blue status light, infrared lights, and auto led lights. br>br>I was also able to turn off the blue status light, infrared lights, and auto led lights. br>br>Must use wifi for recording to work and see live, which defeats the purpose of getting a solar panel in the first place. In the event that the power goes out, I have a working camera that I'm storing on SD. That isn't the case at all. br>br>I'm going to wait for customer service to respond and then try mounting the camera differently to see if it detects motion. It says not to place it directly where the object is approaching perpendicular to the camera, but I need something to look down my driveway. br>br>I've only had it for a few hours, so I'm going to keep it for another night. If it does not meet my requirements, I will return it.
I spent about three and a half hours trying to set up the two cameras I bought, and I considered returning them nearly ten times in my head, but I'm a stubborn person. They couldn't connect to the router while installing the camera. It didn't matter how many times I went over the same steps in their manual to connect. After that, I had to look into my router to see if it was the source of the issue. During this process, I also upgraded the firmware on my router. It wouldn't be able to get around the security every time I typed in my password. What happened was that I had to turn off all of my router's security features and leave it unprotected. Connectivity between dogs It was then connected to the router after all security had been removed. Then, using the SAME EXACT PASSWORD as before, I went through the process of re-enabling security on the router. The cameras would then be able to connect to the secure network. It's impossible to understand why it wouldn't work and then why it would. I couldn't find any information about it on the forums, so I figured I'd share it here in case anyone else is experiencing the same issue. br>br>The cameras are excellent value for money, and I have one mounted far away from my router. For a while, it had trouble picking up the wifi signal, but as time has passed, it now connects every time; however, the mounting screws that came with it are complete garbage. Upgrade those shabby-looking items. Before you install, check with the boys. The screws are about to come loose. Inquire as to how I came to this conclusion. br>br>As described, the night vision works well. You can see reasonably well from about 20 feet away from the camera. It's the one with the spotlight on it that I have. I believe that with normal night vision, you have more visibility than when the spotlight is turned on. br>br>To playback, you'll need an SD card, which are relatively inexpensive. Don't hesitate to purchase them now rather than later. It's pointless to go up and down that ladder multiple times. Last but not least, here's an interesting fact: you can set a motion detection alarm to sound whenever movement is detected. You can also use your own voice as an alarm by recording it. "NOT TODAY, SATAN, NOT TODAY!" is the message on mine.
Only use vertical walls for mounting. Flat mounting is not an option. Awkward; the Argus 2 mount is far superior. br> I really like the spotlight feature. The video is of decent quality. Connections are frequently lost. br>br> To get it to work again, you'll have to reinstall it, reboot it, and so on. It was returned to be replaced. br>br> On the new cam, there will be more to come. It was replaced by Amazon. br>br> So far, everything is going according to plan.
It's been a little over a week since I got this camera. The setup was simple, and the night vision with the spot lot is crystal clear. I did purchase the solar panel to use with it, so I can't comment on the battery life. I have one camera on the front of my house that gets a lot of street lighting, so it doesn't have the spot light, but the picture is still very clear even without it. My only complaint so far is that there isn't a way to adjust the detection zone in the app like other cameras do.
