The design and finish are excellent. The materials and fit, on the other hand, are unsatisfactory. The stand isn't very stable because there's too much plastic on it. My 8- When you press the shutter button on your ounce camera, it shakes. I've got a third of the way through. The camera bracket around the rack pole has an inch of unwanted play. The rack is made of plastic and is made up of two pieces with poorly mated ends, causing the pinion to run rough over that area. Because the mating teeth in the light pole clamps are oriented slightly differently from one another, setting both lights to the same angle is impossible. One of the lamp sockets had a screw that had completely fallen out and needed to be replaced. The lamp brackets are equipped with a non-removable non-removable non-removable non You must ensure that the captive clamp is properly installed or the set screw will punch a hole in the light rod. Some of the parts were not bagged, and they picked up a lot of staticky styrofoam from the packaging. br>br>On the plus side, my unit came with everything I needed and was fairly simple to put together. Overall, this is a good budget model to have on hand for special occasions. If you're looking for a solid foundation, this is the place to go. I'd go with something else if I needed a sturdy stand that could withstand a lot of repositioning.

Not to be used with a DSLR camera. Prior to ordering, I figured out how much my camera and lens weighed. The combined weight of my camera and lens is less than one pound. 4 pounds by 25% of weight of weight of weight of weight of weight This is a flimsy, poorly constructed copy stand that, while it may work fine for a point-and-shoot camera, is simply not strong enough for any serious camera. It's overpriced, and I feel like I've been ripped off because it can't be used for the weight stated in the product description. The wear and tear on the plastic parts will only exacerbate the problem. This one should be avoided at all costs.

This was given to him as a present, and he absolutely adores it! My husband has one and uses it frequently, and my son requested one for his birthday, which we bought for him and he enjoys.

Setup and use are simple. It took about ten minutes to complete. It was originally purchased for a single project, but it has since been used on several others. The quality is satisfactory, and although the instructions are illegible, they are simple to decipher.

I didn't take everything out of the box until Christmas morning when my wife opened it. There were no lights in the ad, which was a pleasant surprise. I'm hoping for the lights to arrive soon, or else my two-star rating will be reduced. Not in a good way. It's unfortunate that advertising can be so deceiving.
