Garbage that is still hot
3/5

The construction is extremely flimsy; I couldn't imagine putting my Nikon D5000 in this case. The item arrived with a broken part, which I can't blame on the seller because mistakes happen, but it does speak to how poorly it was made. Also, when adjusting the height of the camera on the mount, there appears to be no braking system, and the assembly is extremely light and flimsy. I haven't tried it yet because it arrived broken), which is supposed to keep the camera in place, had trouble staying in place even without the camera attached. This garbage must be run away from, not walked away from.

Poorly designed, materials and workmanship are of poor quality
3/5

On every level, this copy stand was a complete flop. The first and most obvious flaw is that you can't adjust the camerabr>mount so that the camera is pointing straight down and perpendicular to the base. It is NOT an optical illusion that the camera mount in the advertisement is not pointing perpendicular to the base. To solve that problem, I had to take apart the camera mount assembly and grind somebr>plastic stops off the back side. Design: br>br>
- When the camera mount is raised and lowered, there is significant sideways movement. br>br>The rack and gear are made of plastic. br>br>The rack is actually two short racks butted end to end (which were not properly positioned at the factory, and adjustment across that barrier was anything but smooth, putting a lot of stress on the plastic gear). There is no locking mechanism for locking the camera height. br>br>There is no ruler on the vertical support. br>br>It's also poor design to have threaded steel adjustment shafts tighten by going into threaded plastic. Construction: br>br>
- br>Even when seated in front of you, this unit appears to be cheap. It's no surprise that the seller didn't provide any good close-up photos. In his product ad, he shows up views of the unit. Except for the base and vertical support, everything else on the unit is made of cheap plastic, which makes me hesitant to mount my $300 camera on it. As previously stated, the 2 section Rack needed to be repositioned, and the poor construction made it far more difficult than it needed to be. Because the holes in the support tube were not drilled exactly where they should have been, I had to insert my philips head screw driver at an angle nearly every time (which made keeping it in the screw heads difficult). br>br>The short-term-term-term-term-term-term-term-term-term-term-term The release mechanism and plate are also of low quality, and they are difficult to use. And the force needed to operate it causes the assembly it's attached to to move sideways. br>br>At this price, I wasn't expecting exceptional quality, but I was expecting a lot more than what I got. This is a poor excuse for photographic equipment, to say the least. The only positive thing I can say is that assembly was simple and straightforward. br>br>I have no idea where this unit was made because the manufacturer was apparently embarrassed to put either their name or the country of manufacture on the product, but I suspect it's just another piece of crap imported from C h _ _ _. br>br>I'd be embarrassed to sell something like this if I were the seller. br>br>My advice is as follows: THIS ITEM SHOULD NOT BE PURCHASED! You're not going to like it!.

The copy stand is very shaky
3/5

This product is essentially useless. It is not something I would suggest. The video I posted shows how shaky it is. I'm sure I'll be able to make it work for my needs, but I'm not going to buy it again.

I've never seen anything so shaky and unstable
3/5

This is the shakiest, most unsteady device I've ever used. It's mostly made of plastic, it's not level or true in any way, and the height apparatus on the post slowly descends and won't stay put. Spend your money on a higher-quality item instead.

However, for a good camera, it is a little light weight
3/5

It worked, but it was a little light for a camera of this caliber.
