Questions & Answers

Is the mount permanently attached or can it be removed if you want to swap it out for a higher 1/3 co-ordinate mount? witness?

It's a fixed mount that eliminates the need for iron sights when properly installed. My sight is mounted on my Ruger PC9 carbine, and it works well for drills where a pistol would be more appropriate, but it's also accurate out to 100 yards with the same 9mm ammo. When sighting and shooting with both eyes open, the field of view allows for complete situational awareness. On most rifles, a rifle scope mounted on a set of high see-through scope rings can be used to replace an existing set of iron sights. br>I, for one, believe that one-third of all co-workers should be women. As a theoretical physics problem (much too difficult)!

What is the dot's moa size?

On medium brightness, the dot size appears to be /- My scope has a MOA of 2 MOA. Obviously, the brighter the dot, the fuzzier it becomes, but in comparison to my other red dots, it's fairly crisp.

Is it powered by a battery?

Mine came with a CR2032 Lithium battery.

Is this scope durable enough to mount on a 1911 45 ACP wad gun?

Yes. It's mounted on a 45 acp ar pistol in my collection. I'll be competing in another triathlon on a 30-mile course. This is a tough scope.

first impressions – Two thumbs up from me
5/5

First impressions. It was delivered without a hitch from Amazon. Wow, I unpacked it, installed the battery, and turned it on. It's a beautiful image! I mounted it and went outside to sight it in. In the first outing, performance was flawless, and zero adjustments were simple and painless. So far, I have had no hesitation in purchasing another. If I remember, after I've had it for a while, I'll add some more feedback.

The size is great, but I had to return it because it was too small
4/5

This had a great big view that I enjoyed. They did an excellent job with the clear glass with no tint. However, as others have stated, there are a few issues that I was unable to overcome. 1. There are no lens covers included. If you don't get some covers for the big lens, you'll end up with a dirty eyepiece. In low-light conditions, the coating produces some backward reflections. It's not a major issue, but it's a consideration. When I reinstalled it, the mounting hex screw snapped, and I returned it, but that was enough to convince me to move on. I like the look of it, but I'm not sure I can trust it. It's nearly perfect, but the provided hardware is subpar and unusable. As an alternative, I recommend that you watch Romeo 7 instead. br>br>UPDATE 12/29/21br>So I tried it again, partly because I really liked the glass, fov. the proportion of size to weight I returned the old one and placed an order for a replacement. The replacement went on without a hitch. The screw stayed in place and didn't snap like the previous one did. br>br>In light of this, I've given it four stars so far. I'm hoping it was just a faulty screw in the other unit. Despite the fact that I have no plans to remove the sight, I can't help but wonder if the screw will eventually break. br>br>I'm going to test it, and if it works, I'll let you know. So. br>br>UPDATE 01/28/22br> Yeah. I gave it back to her. The windage and elevation adjustments aren't documented, according to my research. Even the instruction manual says so. I also discovered that the dot is only slightly brighter than daylight when set to maximum brightness. I had to return it because the disadvantages outweighed the benefits. Hopefully, the next version will be better. br>br>.

This is not a good idea
3/5

The sight picture is fantastic, and it's not as large as I expected. My issue is that I can't seem to get it to work properly. The anti-fog is non-existent, and it arrived broken. It starts to fog up a little. This is a product that I do not recommend.

It was far superior to my expectations
5/5

This red dot has a special place in my heart. Right out of the box, this calculator is accurate. The dot is bright and has a large field of view. On the AR, it looks great. The only disadvantage is that it is large, but this is why it provides a wider field of view. It's not that heavy, really. I'm going to go out and buy a few more.

Great Optic that has been well-made
5/5

This red dot is one of my favorites. It's just as good as my Holosuns and EOTech red dots, and it appears to be able to withstand a lot of punishment. Although Holosuns are small, the Athlon is smaller than my Vortex Strikefire and has better overall performance. br> Advantages: It's made to look like a tank. The feature of auto-on is extremely useful. Has a giant coated objective lens with a very large and very clear field of view, as well as the ideal height for co-workers. irons as a witness The brightness buttons are flush with the body, perfectly placed, and simple to adjust; it holds zero (my only experience is with a soft shooting 11). Cons: (5" gas piston gun)br>(5" gas piston gun)br>(5" gas piston gun)br>(5" gas piston It's made to look like a tank. As a result, it's a bit of a slog. The most serious flaw is that it lacks creativity. There is no protective cover because the large ocular lens (rear glass) is nearly flush with the eyepiece. It gets dusty quickly, so I treat it with extra care to keep it from getting damaged, which is the only reason I wouldn't use it as a duty optic on my carry guns. br>br>For those who want a large field of view, this is the optic for you. It would be the best red dot optic for the money if the large lenses were given a little more protection.
