Yes, any scope that accepts 1 will work with this. Lenses that are 25"
Yes, it will work with any telescope, including Dobsonian, Reflector, and Refractor telescopes. It's important to remember that this is a one. It's a 25" Barlow Lens, not a 2" Barlow Lens.
I hope you're doing well, dear friend! br>Thank you for contacting us. Because the Celestron Barlow 2x isn't a product we sell, I'm not sure what the exact specifications are, but the two products serve the same purpose: adjusting the telescope's magnification;a telescope's final image quality is determined by the telescope's product parameters. br>If my response still does not adequately answer your question, could you please contact us via Amazon message? Selected User Reviews For SVBONY 2X Barlow Lens 1.25 inch Doubles The Magnification Multi Coated Broadband Green Film Telescope Accessory with M42 Thread for Standard Telescope Eyepiece
The AWB Onesky 130mm f/5 reflector was purchased to be used with it. Unfortunately, this is too high in the focuser, and I couldn't pull focus even when I pushed it all the way in. (It appears that I needed to push the focuser in another 0 after removing it. ) 3" to get it to work, indicating that the issue is at least partially due to my telescope's characteristics! )br>br>Unfortunately, I couldn't really judge it because I was hand-holding the focus; I did notice some noticeable ghosting/aberration in the bits of time I was able to hold it relatively steady, but my image quality analysis is hardly a fair review as this could've easily been because hand-holding it in the focuser destroyed the optical system's quality.
However, don't hold your breath for miracles. You get what you pay for, and this is a good low-cost item for bringing distant objects into sharper focus. You should use at least the 3x or 5x for Saturn. Even neptune and uranus can be seen with the 5x magnification, though not to the same extent. It has barrel distortion and chromatic aberration, with the svbony 3x and 5x versions having even more distortion- the 5x in particular However, if you're on a tight budget or are just getting started, it's a steal. Nothing elicits ooohs and aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahs like seeing something.
This barlow lens, much to my surprise, performs admirably. I didn't expect the build and lens quality to be as good as they are for the price, but the optics blew me away. Very clear, with little to no reduction in light transmission to the eyepiece, which I didn't expect from such a low-cost barlow. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a good quality barlow without having to spend a lot of money. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> I just wanted to share some results from some testing and comparisons I did with this Barlow lens and a GSO Shorty Barlow. In comparison to the GSO Shorty, the diameter of the barlow element has been reduced by SVBONY. This is so that the lens assembly can be fully inserted into a scope with a diagonal eyepiece socket. This is a good thing because it prevents the barlow lens from colliding with and damaging the internal diagonal mirror. Because the barlow will contact or damage the diagonal mirror if it is inserted all the way to the housing stop with the GSO, it cannot be inserted all the way to the housing stop. In comparison to the GSO, I was concerned that the smaller diameter would reduce light transmission, but this was not the case in my testing. The SVBONY optics were a little brighter and clearer than the GSO, in my opinion. My only conclusion is that the SVBONY 3x barlow has THREE elements, whereas the GSO shorty only has two. The ability to remove the barlow element and thread it onto the eyepiece is the GSO's only advantage over the SVBONY in my opinion. This allows you to go from 3x to 2x magnification. You can't do this with the SVBONY because it's too slow. That is not an issue for me, and I would still recommend the SVBONY brand over the GSO brand because of its superior quality and ability to fit into any scope.
I already have a Televue 2X barlow, but I need this one because the SVBONY barlow can be used for 1. 5 times by unscrewing the bottom component and screwing the eye pieces in place. My ZWO ASI 462 camera is the one in question. It performs admirably in this scenario. But it doesn't stop there. br>br> The 2X barlow lens has proven to be an excellent barlow lens. It's on par with my TV 2X barlow (MSRP $128USD), which cost six times as much. br>br>I compared the SVBONY 2X barlow to the TV 2X barlow on the entire set of TV plossl EP. Saturn was the target, and I was shooting at it. I didn't test with my TV Delos and Pentax XW EP because they're too heavy, and I didn't want to rebalance my set up during my image session because Mars was waiting for me (yes, I'm writing this review while waiting for Mars to get into position). br>br>In contrast to what some reviewers claimed, the SVBONY 2X barlow lens sample I received is also coated. Under the light of the sun, I carefully examined it. It appeared to be uncoated at first, but reflections revealed a pinkish hue. The coating on TV Barlow, on the other hand, was more visible. The only flaw I discovered was that the edges of the SVBONY 2X barlow lens are not blacked out. Please see the attached image (compare to TV Barlow) for more information. However, when I used it with Saturn, I had no problems. This SVBONY Barlow lens is an excellent 2X Barlow. I'm amazed I got it for less than $20. This book comes highly recommended. Please note that this review only applies to the 2X Barlow. Not three times, not five times, but two times.
I'm shooting with an Apertura AD8 camera and a 9 mm lens. I was able to reduce it to 4 by using this method. 5 mm . The product is of excellent quality. I had a clear view of Jupiter and the moon.
