A great build quality is the first thing you notice. It can also be removed and threaded directly onto the threads of the eyepieces for filtering the image. This is a nice perk, to reduce the magnified image if you choose to. An aspect of the lens assembly that is problematic is the length of the insertion tube part. Since the telescope lens is much longer than the one attached to an eyepiece, you cannot completely insert it into the eyepiece mount and lock it in place or else the diagonal mirror may get damaged. There may be a solution to this problem by adding a permanent marker line to indicate how far to insert the lens.
Apart from that, the lens is of high quality, with good clarity and sharpness, and it operates smoothly. Newtonian or dob scopes that do not have the diagonal would benefit from this.
It is likely that the screw that secures the eyepiece is the piece that makes this distinctive. The diameter of this one is about a third larger than the one on my SVbony. This is the perfect size for a larger hand. In terms of operation, it is a nice piece of equipment that does an acceptable job at a reasonable cost.
The Barlow lens is of high quality. This is not flimsy or anything, but is low enough so that it does not slow all my gear. I was able to pair it with as small a 4mm EP on the Celestron 70AZ mount and The barlow was not able to keep it in the field of view too long at that magnification, but it certainly kept it out of harm's way. Combining the 9mm Kellner EP with the 9mm Kellner produced some spectacular moon shots. Remove the one by being able to. With a 5x Barlow element, to be able to mount it directly on the eyepiece, the unit becomes much more versatile.
Even though it's not on Prime, I received it very quickly. I appreciate the fact that it has dual elements and helps bring a little more contrast to the image. Attach the bottom of the eyepiece to the bottom of the socket, and unscrew the bottom. The magnification is 5x, so you only pay for 1 if you buy 2. This is a highly recommended book. More likely to buy their products in the future.
Good optics for the overall price. Not as good as the much more expensive models (Televue) but fantastic for doubling short scopes. On my 1500mm F10 6" SCT that offers a 3000mm F22 effective magnification I get some sharp images, and I can get as close to crater level on the moon as I wish. If you wish to experiment with a barlow without committing to a large purchase, this is a great option. I highly recommend GSO for its low price.
